I wanna know how can I increase yield. I'm averaging about an ounce a plant. I'm growing the usual, white widow, afghani, early misty seeds from AMS. My set up= soil(miracle gro kind), 3 gallon pots, GH maxi bloom & grow fertilizer, 1000watt hps light, inline fan 600+cfm, oscillating fan. I veg for 2-4 weeks fertilizing with maxi gro. then bloom 8-11weeks(whatever strain needs) fertilize with maxi bloom. I usually get 6-12 fems under the 1000watt hps. I don't use co2 or prune or top. How can I maximize yield without adding co2? oh yea, temperature is about 81*f, hum. 35% with light on.

I'd put them in bigger pots and let them veg 4-6 weeks.

Knuckling is a good way to increase yield.Take your branches and gently bend them.This cause auxins to come and repair them.Several growers here use this method to increase their yeilds.

3 galon pots is plenty for plants to yeild 3 oz each. I think your light may not be getting utilized to it's full potential. Can you increase reflectivity in the room?

Stop using MG as a medium. Look into coco for your next grow. Try vegging a little longer and suppercropping like an earlier post suggested. Keeps the plant a little lower to compensate for the longer veg period, and creates more bud sites.

could you recomend a good coco to get. It comes in big blocks right. Hmmm, I assumed the big bags of MG soil at Home Depot were good, maybe not.

You do not need CO2 to increase yield.
If I was going to add anything make it another 1000W HPS.

This season I grew 500grams + with 1800 Watts and one of the 400's
was a MH.

I only had 6 plants and this has not been my best yield.
In my opinion you veg long enough its the flowering that isn't long enough.

Most of the girth comes in the last two weeks or so and by that time you have already harvested.

Lastly, I use a hydro system that is simular to using soil.
What I mean is its hydro but many people just call it soilless.

so get another 1000watter and put less plants under light. and flower longer, that should fatten up buds?
