Flowering and Light Exposure
permalink

Is there any point in the flowering stage where it is ok to start exposing your plants to some light? I'm finding it really hard to get my work done during the 12/12 stage (mine is from 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM at a remote location and it's hard to be there daily during those times).

Im just starting my 5th week of flowering. What if the plants are exposed for short intervals?

Why dont you change the "lights on time" to match what time you can get there? One "short" day or night to change the timer won't hurt them.

Short periods of light during their dark period will stress them & may cause hermis.

It's not OK...that is not to say you can't do it, but your plants and flowers will definatly suffer, slow, and thin.

How about a very dark room with no light source? I really just need to access my reservoir and check the levels but I don't need lights...or should I just wait it out?

BLUE: I'll change the schedule next grow - I'm in a Bloombox and don't feel like dealing with the control panel and reprogramming it right now.

I once had too check up on my flowering plants during the dark period. I just went into the dark room and set a lit candle on a nearby shelf. Gave me just enough light too see, but not anymore light than a moon outside at night.

That certainly will not hurt them. Just a little lightning bolt.

I wasn't really thinking...You can use a green light bulb and it will not cause any damage or slow the plants down. Just watch the light when you enter the room.
