I just read this whole thread, !damn. That wa sooooooo funny. Who else was reading and choking on laughing at the same time? lol. Anyways, back to the opinion on the first wuestion, Yes hang upside down. Thats what almost all growers have done for ever. I dry uside down (just till it is shriveled p and takes a good wack to knock a piece off) then I dry it on a screen I made with some 2'2' pine. Realy easy to make. Screen is 89 sense a foot here (2 and a half feet wide) Peace out , Canabian I will remember this thread for awhile

It took me a half an hour to read this entire thread, 'cause I was bustin a gut so bad! Damn near choked on my chili Seriously there Jayv25 they're as much to make as they are to eat. Nice stoney body high. an how about Cannpannas and Cannasyrup with Cannabutter, I'm gettin' the munchies and I ain't even high! Oh Yeah, the hanging question.... I like doin' the Mr Natural thing.... give the plant a couple of days upside down then gently wrap the fans around the buds, and return them to the inverted, sorta like a cigar then let them slow cure and dry that way, they look like a big ol' Popeye Phatty that you can just light up. biggest drawback is the threat of mold. as in FAR'ouT

I know this for a fact. When I had some really nice buds, I made soup with some in it ... about a joints worth, for each bowl of soup being made ... and in about an hour after eating the soup/pot mix .. you'd feel like you had 4 or 5 joints. ![]() I suspect it feels stronger 'cause the THC isn't burned away, but rather disolved (vaporized) into the water, so you get MORE thc into YOU, and not into the air, as with smoking in a pipe , or joint. Try it ... YOU'LL Like IT! You can also make POT TEA ... let some BUDS steap in some boiled water, or let it boil in the pan a bit... then drink the water, and eat the BUD ... NOW Thats a BRISK tea ![]() case-in-point ... it took me 4 edits of this stupid post to get it right ... ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So in theory, if all the "THC" were to flow towards the tips then the tips would get you higher. Would be very cool if it worked. Then you'd have different strengths of pot. Unless of course "ALL" of the thc flowed to the tips. Then the lower buds would be a waste. Oh yea. Before I forget.. Outdoors, I think something is wrong with your keyboard. It appears as though your "k" keeps sticking. ![]()

![]() | I have heard both sides of the issue. But I feel that it is just eaiser to deal with. I have hung up my buds and do not have to deal with them - I have also been told that the less amout of time that you have to touch them during that drying time is the best anyway - hanging them let me do that. Or you can try both ways and let us know..what you think...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Who are you trying to kid?! I too, have read this thread all the way through and find that there is way more myth being presented here than reality. I don't see what everyone finds to be so funny either when this is a very serious topic. First of all; just because "something has been done for centuries" such as hanging marijuana upside down to dry doesn't make it right, or the best thing one could do. For centuries they burned witches too, but that didn't make it right. I find that drying my plants exactly the opposite of your proposed method works much better. I stand them up the way they grew. I accomplish this feat by building little Christmas tree type stands in my workshop (design can be found in the construction forum). I then place the whole plant in the stand and tighten the screws, standing it in the dark to dry for approximately the same time you would by inverting it. The benefit here is that gravity works in my favor. Instead of the branches, buds and leaves closing in on the stem as they do when "hung", they all separate and open themselves up "like a christmas tree" does when placed in one's living room. This allows the air to circulate much better, drying the plant more thoroughly and in my experience, I've never developed mold! When its time to cut the plant up for the final cure, it is a joy to have the ease of having every part of it splayed and spreadout before me making the job so much easier. There are a couple of drawbacks however. One being that the xmas tree shape takes up much more room than hanging so it wouldn't work for everyone. The other drawback is that all the THC runs down from the buds and back into the root, needing to be boiled out again! milagro

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | LOL milagro. (boiling the roots) I think your method might have its advantages, but drawbacks as well. Who has all that space to keep them upright in stands? And who has stands? I have one that came with the fake xmas tree in the basement, but other than that im not gonna go and make some. I guess having them splayed out would make it easier and may even help reduce mold since air can flow so much better. I think im gonna be wet manicuring mine and do away with all the mess. Then just pin up the buds on an indoor clothesline or something.

...is when I cut some of the larger colas off, I leave a small piece of the main stem on it. It creates a bit of a 'hook' (see illustration). Then I string a small clothesline in the room I'm drying in and pop 'em on it! Oh...and then I boil all the roots and make a nice faux spaghetti dinner! ![]()
