![]() ![]() ![]() | Unsure of proper forum..... I have tiny white specks in this dried bud. The plants were full of spider mites, but these specks are bigger than a dead mite would be. I am wondering if it looks familiar to anyone? Is it smokeable? ![]()

![]() | I dont know, but that deosnt look good at all. How does ist feel to touch it, sticky or dry?? Could just be some fibers from cotton or paper or something that accidentially touched the bud while drying. Lets hope it's something as harmless as that.. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | Jeez, I hope this photo works. It's as close as I can get to still be semi-clear. It's an insect with legs and antenna (sp?). A little white friggin insect! But why are they dead? It's been hanging in a closet for 2-3 days.... looks like they'd have crawled off somewhere to die. Quite the mystery!!

![]() | It could be plant-lice..(im not sure about the english word for em). They are dependent on the plant they live off....but they usually move on when a plant dies...wierd. If those white things are insects i recommend you DO NOT smoke it. Or sit down with a pair of tweezers and pick the bugs off the bud? Are the little buggers in your whole crop?

![]() | That's really sad. Now, this is maybe a really stupid idea, but if nothing else is possibl, how about trying to try to wash them off under a tap and then re-dry your bud? This may be a stupid idea...this post needs a second opinion, im a schmuck ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | Not stupid at all, but they're IN the buds. Like if you break one open, they're inside and all through. Plant lice is aphids, right? Wrong body type- these have a definite head, thorax, abdomen, six legs, two antenna, etc. And it gets weird-er.... Purple Star sometimes turns purple, sometimes not. Well, I just went and checked the rest of the harvest, and they're only in the purple ones!!! The plants that stayed green are fine, if you overlook the fact that they were a spider mite magnet. This variety has been a pain since day one. AND <takes a breath> I'm smokin it anyway. If you don't hear from me later today, it was a bad idea ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | It's ok, I lived. Tastes like........ chicken. They're really tiny.. no bigger than dust, really. I've about concluded that it has to be associated with the spider mites I've been battling on this variety. I found photos of a duetonymph, part of the life cycle of spider mites. If these were dead and very dried up, they would greatly resemble what I am seeing. Untill I find out otherwise, that's my conclusion. And if you squint, you can hardly see 'em.
