Freezer storing?
permalink

Hey Everyone,
I've read that when trying to keep newly dried bud stay as fresh as possible, it's best to store it in a freezer. If its stored in a freezer, wont it freeze? Wouldn't it be detrimental to the quality of the bud when you'd have to defrost it? How would one go about defrosting it? Please help quick, I need to store a portion of this harvest before I smoke it all!!!! Thanks!

Marijuana Botany
An Advanced Study: The Propagation and Breeding of Distinctive Cannabis
by Robert Connell Clarke

"Cannabis floral clusters are best stored in a cool, dark
place. Refrigeration will retard the breakdown of canna-
binoids, but freezing has adverse effects. Freezing forces
moisture to the surface from the inside of the floral tissues
and this may harm the resins secreted on the surface."

Gotta love it!

Stay out of the freezer.

My dad and I have this argument every time I see him pull a big bag of buds from the freezer. When you pull a bud from the freezer it takes a while for it to dry out. And like rockclimber said "it may harm the resins" . My dad now burries it outside after he puts it in air tight bags ( the ground doesn't freeze where he lives).
