| im on webtv which sucks so i dont want to quote cuz id have to type it out. growin4me : I sure hope the supercropped plant is confirmed female otherwise you could be wasting your electric. i always like to grow in 5s or more because of the chance of it growing balls. apothead : drying is the process of removing water from the plant as slow as possible. curing is the final stage of drying in a closed container to convert sugars. i prefer tupperware, mason jars, or large pretzle containers. sometimes i find jars with the rubberseal and latch... those work well too. gotta run ill fix this up later and help some more. peace, wrongway | ||

I'm a new gardener, and I have read this and other threads with consuming interest. It's like a mini botany course, and has been so amazingly helpful! I have a few questions: I planted in pure Miracle Grow potting soil, and I have one fairly big plant, and about a dozen young-uns. When should I take the young-uns out of the big pot? How old do they have to be in order to determine which ones are the ones I should keep, since I have to be very selective, due to space issues. You mentioned that MG is a dense medium in an earlier discussion about flushing, and now that it's planted in that stuff...what can I do about it? I live in a small apartment, so I can't grow more than one or two to maturity at a time, and I also wanted to ask what you may know about trimming/training the plants to a certain size, and how small could that possibly be and still manage to grow something....since I'm growing for personal, quantity really isn't as much of an issue as quality. I look forward to your response.

It's been about 3 or so weeks since I harvested, dried, and curing. I had one huge bud that did develope a little mold way on the inside, I guess where there was still some moisture there. In the future, even though those donkey ****s are very impressive to look at and show, I will cut them into smaller buds to insure a proper dry and cure. After all is said and done I wound up with some of the best weed I've ever grown. Rock on people, grow your own, it's the only way to go. One more little tid-bit of info, Don't use organic ferts inside, I think it promotes gnats or white flies. I never had this problem in the past, but, the only thing I did different was to use organic fert, that's just my opinion, who knows. As always, happy growing ![]() | ||
