Ok I need opinions from everyone. I'm going to be leaving my unattended for the 4th time, this time for 4 weeks! But this time it will be after I harvest (in 3 weeks) So nothing to worry about growing, just my 5 chopped ladies. What is the best way to leave them drying/curing for the month I'm going to be gone???? There will be no one to come by and burp any jars or transition them from drying to curing...... ![]()

I've had trim get mold that I left in a brown paper bag & forgot to stir it up, so that definitely won't work. And of course straight to the jar is out of the question.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had something similar happen to a buddy who moved, wasn't able to trim for weeks and weeks. It all ended up fine, but he/they tried to rehydrate it before trimming but I don't know that it worked all that well. Maybe make sure there is super gentle air movement in the general vicinity too.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | suspended in a closet that has some sort of vent slats or maybe crack the door and hang up a towel over the crack... ive got a very small fan blowing AWAY from my buds down the length of my closet... the fan is maybe 3 inches across total... or maybe have the fan outside blowing at the closed door... it will provide minimal circulation by air through the cracks in the door, while preventing any direct air onto the nugs... id show pics of my setup but dont have enuuff yet to get a camera

![]() ![]() ![]() | I use an electric space heater and a cool-mist vaporizer to keep my drying room at 70ºF and 50% RH. Under those circumstances, the branches/plants can reach equilibrium and stay there for quite a while. They'll dry in a week but won't dry out as they would in a space with lower humidity. The heater could be turned off after a week to save energy. The only problem with maintaining this for a month would be keeping the vaporizer filled. Mine drinks over a gallon a day. I suppose you could set the vaporizer up with a float valve (like they use in hydroponics reservoirs) to keep it filled.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would chop and leave the plants to dry whole. You could always try to rehydrate the buds later with fruit or bread or whatever else people try. I would rather have completely dry bud then moldy bud. Also if you are growing in soil, you could water a day or so before you chop to get it nice and hydrated...? but i think you left the soil world for hydro so not really sure Trimming is going to be a bitch when you get back hmmm or will it with everything so damn dry....

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I just don't want to hang it up to dry in a regular room, and I come back in 4 weeks! ( I can't believe I have to do it but there's no choice) I can already imagine coming back to see a completely dried out, crispy buds that smell like dried cut grass. Is it possible to freeze fresh cut buds without any ill effect???? thecolorgreen yoooo! actually I havn't left the soil world yet. the same old waterfarm kit i've had now for over a year, I've been dragging it everywhere I move and STILL havn't used it!! I'm a lazy basturd ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Dont freeze them, they will turn black and look like swagg! I left for 3 weeks and just did a minimal trim, separated the colas, hung them and left them in my grow room with the ventilation on. I have a fan blowing in fresh air and a fan sucking stale air out. Yeah the bud was pretty dry/hay like but at least it wasnt moldy.

Was it really crispy?? I don't really want crispy/hay buds, but yeah it will be better than moldy... Were you able to rehydrate the buds??? How was the smell/smoke?? I'm wondering if I harvest a week early to dry them then put them in mason jars with holes punctered in the lids and a fan blowing over the lids would work.. ![]() thanks everyone for their input so far
