Did you know ... in most states, that if you are growing in their house, or on their property ... they could lose the family home? Not really worth it ...

Maven may have been a bit harsh, I smoked when I was 15, stay in school, get good grades it will pay off when your older I promise. He's definitley right tho dont grow in your home its not worth it. Perhaps if its grown outside and its already been growing this summer and you have no where else to hang it, might as well hang it outside. It really should be stored in a dark place tho. After its dry, put it in a jar for 2 weeks, opening it everyday for an air exchange. Goodluck tho, I've never known anyone that dried outside.

P.S. Make good grades, get in a good college its worth it, college is a great time, and it beats joining the work force straight outta high school.

i have no doubts about that man,i wasnt just gonna hang them outside,i was thinking of making a drying box with this deep cardboard box and some fishing line that i have, maybe i can cover it with a black cloth to prevent light.I think id have to cut holes or slats in the side for good air movement too.

The environment would have to play it's part, MJ drys best in temperatures of 65-75 degrees with a humidity of 45-55% . This time of year most areas are 85+ so depending on where you live, that would play a big part. Keep in mind drying outdoors also means you have a better chance of getting bugs, no matter how well you think you can seal it. If you can get in the box, so can pests. Just some things to keep in mind

Hi, just thought I'd chime in. I dry outside in an old wooden grain bin( well shaded) every year,as do most others around here.Hang them on lines strung across the ceiling, takes about 5 to 8 days. The top of the bin has an 18' opening and I leave the door open for good ventilation. Works great, never had a problem with bugs. Mind you, the temps outside will definitley decide how fast it dries and you need to keep an eye on them. My

Out on the prairies, old grain bins are fairly common, true, most people aren't as lucky as me to have access to one, but I'm just saying that's how I dry as well as most of my friends, Works well!
