![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I was thinking about my grow, and my harvest ill have soon, and also if i could flavor some of my bud.I had an idea that goes:if i could rig up a pouch by stapling together 2 coffee filters and filling it up with orange zest and lemon zest, then staple it shut and poke holes in the top to allow the aroma and essence to escape, perhaps putting this on the bottom of the cure jar and placing the bud on top will flavor it,if cured for say a month and a change of zest every 3 or 4 days.Lemme hear your thoughts, theres nothing like the taste of good bud,but experimenting could definitely turn out to be worthwhile,Ive always wanted some flavored bud. Thanks for your thoughts, Chronic.

![]() ![]() | A friend of mine did this with his low quality schwag that he had grown. He put the already dried herb in 1 gallon plastic bags with some slightly dried orange peels. Then he wrapped it all up in an electric blanket for a few days, checking it probably 2 or 3 times daily. Man that stuff sure did smell good and the stuff he pulled straight out of the bag tasted pretty good but smoked harsh because it was so moist. The end result wasn't very good though, probably just because of the low quality herb he used. A few weeks after the whole thing was done, it started losing its flavor and ended up tasting worse than the original schwag and some of it eventually got moldy. It was hard not to laugh or atleast smile when I'd see him selling a dub of his "Orange Chronic" to unknowing customers. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A touch of carb-o-load during flush or some guano in the last two weeks of flowering will bring out the NATURAL flavors of your bud. As far as flavor, Blueberry bud or orange bud have great fruity flavors when grown properly. I would use a blunt wrap if I wanted more flavor than the bud already has. I like the taste of well grown and cured MJ and firmly believe that it needs nothing. Now some MJ that someone grew that tastes like a basement, then I can see your point. Ona gel that is placed in the flower room will make buds taste like soap or a dryer sheet. That sucks and in my opinion the bud is ruined if this has happened. But if the Ona can make the flower taste like soapy dryer sheets, then I would imagine that some type of good scent was introduced to the buds while still in flower maybe the taste would come through. The Ona flavor did not cure out of the bud at all so I think the flavor would stay after curing. Now what to use to have scent transfer into flower taste? That would be the secret. I don't think a Little Tree air freshener would be the best thing but I bet the bud would taste like it. Maybe a 1/2 bushel of orange peels in the flower room? I don't know but there's my nickel's worth peace

![]() ![]() ![]() | im sure that adding something with a distinct odor to the curing process would indeed alter the smell but i doubt it would have much impact on taste. I would also imagine it would harshen the smoke. They sell flavored papers, blunts and even flavoring of pretty much any flavor you could want at most head shop. Though i find the flavor spray is a tad harsh and leaves a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. I think the best option if available is to get some Strains of MJ that are known to have flavor. that way you get pure goodness from the natural weed and the enjoyment of growing it =).
