Mary Jane Sour Diesel Crucial Cure

Just a little bit of info, the Sour Diesel pictured here has been hang dried, screened, paper bag dried and jar cured. It was grown to maturity with chemical ferts and flushed for 5 days. I saved the top cola and took aroma notes every few days. The transition was from a wholesome outdoorsie moist aroma to a sweeter earthy aroma through the first 3 weeks. The original Diesel characteristics were very prominent here (I have grown the NYC Diesel before also).

On day 32 the aroma completely changed, the Sour side of this strain poked her head out. It really was amazing as I haven't had any of my batches change aroma so fast, nor have I waited long enough to tell. Over the next three days it got stronger, now after day 37 the Sour has leveled off and slightly blended with the earthy aroma but still a lot more Sour than I have ever experienced this strain.

It took me a while to get ahead enough to be able to do a proper cure, now that I have it's a must. Thanks all

Happy Herbin

That looks mint my friend!! I just finished off my last peice of NYCD that I did for last X-mas. So that was a 8 month cure and let me tell you . Best i ever had!! I did however notice that everytime I puff it seems like tolerance robs some of the high. I get used to it real fast. But my God does that stuff taste wild! Nice work Doc D!!
Peace

Appreciate it everyone!

The smoke IS wild, like a complex food or drink, lots of flavors, seems like the sour side pulls you back and forth from the earthy sweetness back to sourville, burns nice, good taste even at the end. Oh and I have developed a lil crush on the brown paper bag cure in between the hang and the jar, love it!

EMj, I grew the NY for a few years too, way back in the day, loved the strength behind that shit, and of course the gassy diesel smell that came with a decent cure! Killer

Well I surely have to roll a few more to tell for sure but this latest batch might be the best I've ever smoked. I'm not for the couch lock, got too much chit to do. I like a cerebral mostly with a slight body buzz. Ok, call me crazy but I don't like the body buzz to go down past my chest, I know, I know it's whatever but as you let the plant mature later in flowering the buzz creeps down my body just a lil more the longer you let it go. Some batches I've waiting an extra 3 weeks on and I could feel it in my toes!

This batch has flushed for 16 days. 5 days @ 450ppm and 11 days @ 200ppm topped off with 160ppm tap.

I have never tasted smoke this good. I mean it. It's like when you add kief to a joint and you get that kief cough which isnt the burning of the paper or the blunt yet the the amount of crystals burning at once makes you automatically cough. This smoke is like that minus the plant burning chlorophyll taste, minus the bud burning taste, everything is soooo mild and the smoke taste kiefy. Add a hint of the host flavors and you have it. Sour sweet over a heavy gasoline truckstop type aroma. The smoothness is unbelievable, I can hit it so hard until I feel the kief choke, theres just no chemical burning taste.

This batch is currently on day 13 curing, in brown bags now. Going into jars later today. I will confirm my smoke report after day 30.

I'm waiting until I get to clean one of my glass pieces out before I confirm but I am amazed, I've never smoked anything this light. The flavors stand out more, I wonder what all that other herb I smoked should've tasted like? And what I smoked that did taste like it should've, ah the good old days. Anyway, the high gets me to my shoulders and makes me slouch, my head is heavy and my eyes are a little bit slow, it's a good focus high for me. I'll return with a pic and a pipupdate.

if I may ask, what were your end yield weights? and how many days veg did you give with how many watts per square foot?

I'm just curious to what I can expect from my sour D. I'll have it in over 100 watts per square foot of hps Sont T plus bulbs with UVB. they'll be around the 12 to 15 inch mark when I put them into flowering...I think it'll be around 15 to 20 days veg.

never grown the D. very excited, haven't smoked it in years, always been one of my favourite smokes. I personally let it go as long as it can to get the full effect, but I know exactly what you mean with the more cerebral high

anyway...stats?

thanks bro

peace
