You can smoke a nug fresh, right off the plant, if your smoking it a bong and just torch it till it burns, right? No loss of THC or anything, just difficulty? I've been microwaving my test nugs to just warm them up and then just torching them in the bong bowl untill they're smoking, i think i'm high?

Pays off.... You waited this long to grow em, you might as well wait an extra couple days for em to dry. ![]() Try to be pre-emptive. You'll probably want a nugget tommorow, so pick one today! Unless you enjoy inhailing butane fumes and getting annoyed with it not burning then I'd chop em up in a paper bag an put em by a heater or light vent overnight. There is some potency loss i believe due to the THC being less psychoactive when full of moisture. I dont remember the details on that exactly.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | wet nugs just taste awefull! and it seems whenever I smoke some quick dried stuff, I never really get high.. So on that I can speculate that there is a loss in potency. It only makes sense that THC burns at X degrees - and while its wet; I dont think it get there enough for an even burn.. So there is less simultaneous THC burn.. I think you get ripped off..Ok time for my second hit.. ![]() I usually use the oven method.. Dry more then you want at this point.. it will save you time and energy when you want to smoke another 10 mins later because you just didnt get enough ![]() Set oven to 175c place nugs -no stem- on a piece of tinfoil. place directly on middle rack.. Test often for dryness.. Theres a million other ways, bags, toasters, hair dryer etc.. but this is the method I use.. I find it dries faster, more evenly and doesnt shrink it like the microwave does.. After you think its dry enough put it on a piece of paper towel for 10 or so minutes.. this will help the inside dry.. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ahh- this is a great thread. I'm like blitzed off of like 4 or 5 kind of airy bong rips of wet CBD filled buds(thats the premature THC, right?).. everytime i touch the desk the monitor shakes, it likes moves as i'm typing. I have a fresh nouget chillin on the desk and i'm watching the hairs droop. I minced up some bud and put it between thin layers of napkin, and have it on the computer monitor under a shirt. I think it'll dry within a few hours, its chopped tiny. I love not having gotten an LCD, it's like having a desk top utility heating pad!! I've actually put the nug that was drying on the desk onto a daylight CFL for it to catch some UVBizzle as it dries. I'll report back tomorrow if it's 'super' stoney from increased thc. Oh wait; nugs are supposed to cure in the dark right to convert the bad tasting clorophyll? shoot... what to do... ![]() ![]() note: this floro drying thing is going to pretty good so far as i can tell, it's been about 2 hours ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Report: Cured a small nug in 2 hour rotating it directly on a daylight 5700k spectrum CFL. Any longer than this and it would have fried to a crisp. I prefer this method to microwave curing, much headieher high. Someone else give it a try, its fast.

Dankinbank--Well I can't say I've ever dried right on a cfl bulb, I have used grow hoods in the past though. The best way I've also found for the quick drying, is the oven. Slightly different than HellRaizer's but very similar. I do 200 degrees, and smaller buds can take from 30-45 minutes usually. I like his foil idea, I just use pizza pie pans, or baking dishes but then have to clean them too. Thanks HellRaizer yet another great idea I'm stealing from you. JK ![]() ![]() ![]() Those are some pretty pictures of how the your buds are coming to there DNB I'm also not one for taking more buds than I want each time. It seems I'll smoke more of the plants if it's around, but the hour it takes me to quick dry something, I have to know I really want to harvest early and get high or not. The planning a day in advance for my normal usage I do agree with, just not more than my normal days usage. Happy Quick Drying Alleycat | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks Alley Yeah, the foil sounds like it would allow the head of the oven to hit all sides of the bud better. I started an offical CFl quick dry thread to see if I couldn't get a few more smoke reports and maybe someone to compaire side by side to another quick dry method. I'm getting so much higher, it seems 1000% way more medicinal, i recommend poppin a freshie in the old CFL oven. Maybe it's all in my head.
