Warm or cool period before chop?
permalink

From what I understand the best time to chop it after the lights off period because trich development is a defense from the light. Therefore it degrades through the day and replenishes at night.

Is there a temperature variation that could assist that? Either very warm or usually cold to stress the plant a little more and get her to pump out a little extra juice? I'm thinking mainly for the one dark period, only before harvest day.

Some people like to do the dark thing, but ive herd nothing that is proven over and over again, every strain is different, its best to know your strains background (environmental standards of living)

My guess would be to put as much effective UVB in the room as possible, the reaction the trichromes are producing, is because of the light, not as a repair mechanism, my advice would be to concentrate more on increasing the UVB intake, before shooting blanks in the dark here is a good video to maybe better explain than me : UVB and me CLICK HERE

The dark period isn't really what I was asking about. I've read up on and that and there seems to be allot of info. I'm just wondering if 24hrs or so of elevated temps or lowered temps could assist in trich development for harvest.

Don't trichs assist in protecting the calyx from temperature variations? I thought it would make sense the plant would respond by by producing more resin if it hit an abnormal temp, for a short duration. Just like how it rebuilds resin heads preparing for the next day of light.

If any ...it won't be significant enough to detect without some Very precise instrumentation that would provide controversial information... the person ingest'in would never be able to distinguish one buzz from the other.. If it ain't happen'd by now it ain't gona happen.
