What exactly is extracted from the plant? The following link below explains some forms of extractions from various items. Are you familiar with essential oils, concretes, absolutes, co2 extracts? This link describes them briefly: - ESSENTIAL OILS, CONCRETES, ABSOLUTES AND CO2 EXTRACTS: WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE? Concretes: Concretes are highly concentrated solid or semi-solid perfuming materials. They are waxy to the touch. Concretes are made by alcohol or ether extraction of the essence of the plant material from an existing source, such as a pomade or enfleurage. We use concretes in perfuming and to make absolutes. Absolutes: An absolute is a complex material. To obtain an absolute, you must first have the concrete, as described above. Absolutes are extracted from concretes via alcohol. Most absolutes are liquid, but certain ones are semi-solid or solid. Oleoresins: Oleoresins may be obtained naturally, as seepage or exudation, from plants. Most commonly, oleoresins are obtained through the solvent extraction of the plant material. They are used widely in food preparation and cosmetics and toiletries. These concentrated resins are usually colorful, so be prepared for a color shift in your product if you use these materials. So, when you process the plant, does the process actually involve getting the "absolute" from the plant, as described above? Or maybe its an oleoresin? Or do you get oils from it too? Would "honey oil" be considered the "essential oil" of the plant? | ||

| Ok so starting from square one. You have a plant in the soil. The plant has the stem, leaves, etc.. Now, you want to do an extraction. So, what do you get from the extraction, do you get oil? Or only the dark sticky honey-like resin? Is this what would be called "honey oil" , or "hemp oil"? | ||

| i believe he is speaking of honey oil extraction, but I am not sure myself.
