So yes I think its a very good investment VS all the hrs someone puts to trimming monthly or weekly.
Most people dont seem to understand. this product had to be developed and produced. and believe me you cant get just one or a hundred of something made. the initial investment to produce this item was surely very, very high. easily topping half a mil. to get the first ones rolling off the assembly line.

this item is designed and marketed to growers. statistically there arent many of us in the world. maybe one percent of the population even that being a generous figure. Now what percent of the one percent of man kind grows enough herb to utilize this? what percent of those large growers grow enough to have a use for it, but dont grow so much they need a more industrial, faster paced machine?

if you really stop and think about it, whoever made this had a large inital investment, a relatively small group to market it too. Also this item you would only sell one of per person, and it will hopefully last a lifetime. put that all together and you have a low number of sales which demands a high asking price. simple economics. If its a worthwhile tool and helps you make money its obviously more than worth it.

any mechanic will tell you tools are expensive, but without them you will have zero income. hell a 10pc wrench set off the tool truck costs nearly what this device does.

Due to the simplicity of this device, its only a matter of time before knock offs come on to the market--knock offs that won't require a "donation + overhead + cost of materials + every other cost known to man" price.

There are already other versions out there...the tumble trimmer and the magic trimmer...it's only a matter of time before the price goes down.

Also, looking at the device, I don't think start up on it is running as high as half a million. I'll bet a lot of those parts are already in manufacture for other devices...hence no patent.

i'd like to know how long the wires last, whether they break or just dull.

the handy trimmer or whatever the hell the name is comes with 46 new ones according to the webpage.

how much does a refill of the wires cost?

Looks very interesting. If its mainly for the popcorn bud's and not the bigger ones maybe instead of trimming all of them make some bubble hash or butter. I've always made the butter out of the little annoying buds. I like to eat the brownies or cookies and its more of a treat then always smoking. But if it works, it works. To each their own.

I don't think the price is out of sight.... depends on how much of a job you have to do.
For me.... it would be worth it.

Thanks for speaking to the issue of big buds and I'm looking forward to the
And thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I think trimming machines are just getting started... we'll see what comes.

Peace- OD

The price is so high cause it's new to the market, like most stuff when new to the market, and only one or few people marketing it.

Does make me wonder how often the wires break with it coming with so many of them, and that alone with them being new to the market would keep me from buying one.

Who knows if this company will be around in 3 years, and if the wires they give you will even last that long.

For anyone looking at this in all seriousness though, it's not the price we are inquirying about, we see what it costs, and still are interested.

We want pictures from someone really using one though, if you can't tell by all the requests for pictures.

Woudn't that machine reduce the potency a bit of your buds ? Eh, well I guess if you're harvesting pounds of pot a little loss in THC crystals wouldn't matter. That machine is krazy.

I don't see how you wouldn't be able to make one yourself though Maybe if you took an old cycle-machine, the ones where you pedal and it turns the big fan-wheel, use just the front fan wheel, pedals, and chain/gears attaching the two, removed the fan and replaced it with curved wires, added more mesh to the fan-cover, turned it on its side, added a collecting tray................... no? maybe I'm just stoned and it's impossible. But if you tweaked around with the old cycle machine I'm sure you can come up w/ a cheap substitute to that machine.

I would also like to see some pictures, and some real shots of te buds afterwards.

by that little video clip alone it's not enough for me. although a machine for popcorn would be wonderful. might look into indeed making my own. if the buds are too big, wouldn't that make it push the buds around instead of trim?? can only flap so far in that dome I assume. lol

looks like the buds were all almost the same size and smaller in there, no bigger then a golfball really if I remember right.

interesting indeed though.

It'd be great if it also functioned as a kif collector. Why waste the trichs? So...Mattdreads, for your to-do list, be sure to figure in a way of working in some screen material so it will both trim and separate out trichs.

good idea.

I might actually see what I can do about this. I've got a couple months to tinker with it. I've got most of the stuff here already really. it'd be a rough prototype...I'll draw something up, and look into a few things. seems pretty self explanatory.

will indeed use a bike for the first gear set up, just to make it easier the first time around.

with the kif tray at the bottom for sure. thought that first time I saw it, they even have grinders with screens...

good idea mayan
