I.T.GEEK83----You sure should just be able to look at your leaves and know if they are smoke worthy or not. If you see the trichs on the leaves, then save or smoke them. Rolling into joints works well, and most people that aren't used to the bud parts of the plant won't even know they are only smoking the leaves. IMO There are tons of options to use those leaves though, the most popular seem to be either cooking with it, or making hash. There are alot of butane fans too, but I'm not one of those, and don't care to be either. Here's some of my leaf material made into hash with bubble bags and a press as an example of one option. Rolling into joints is totally a way to use up the trim though to answer your original question. The better the trim, the better the joints. Happy Growing Alleycat

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | dunno about that, ive had plants that, well, any leaf that wasnt a fanleaf, was well smokable. in veg state and no trichs. ive also smoked some heavily covered trich leaves that didnt compare to the aforementioned. i'd just dry a few leaves, enough for a bonghit and see.

OK I think sso is getting one of those mind highs going on with his explanations he just put up. I do like his last statement though, don't know if you don't try. This is pretty basic, if you see the trichs on the parts you are using, well that's what gets you high, no trichs, no high off the plant, those are then the mind playing tricks on us. If that's not on the leaf(the thc), and what we want to either smoke(thc), or remove from the material(thc) to cook or make hash with, how in the hell are we getting high off leaves with no thc on them?? THE MIND can to marvelous things it seems to some of us. Smoke whatever you want, but I hear banana peels give mind altering things(saw that on MANSWERS), and done enough with this marvelous plant to know what and what not to use, that banana peels have more interest in smoking, than fan leaves with no thc on them to this cat right now. Thanks for everyones contribution. Guess it solves the question trim leaves or not to trim? that is to Trim anything that doesn't have THC and Leaves with THC is smokable because THC on the leaves/bud is what gets you high. GC Admins.. your welcome to close the thread as question is answered however it can be left open if anyone else wish's to contribute. What a BUM If only i had this question answered before I trashed all the leafs of my previous 5 harvests. for the hard times.. LOL.. Peace and happy growing everyone...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Trim is dried, worst sticks petioles thrown. When no buds, shake and squeeze bag, tip onto sieve and smoke what falls through carefully thru a pipe; some nice suprises happen. Better to smoke that than tax buds too early ; or spend money better spent on soil mix or lights. lol Rolling up some sundried bits off a plant while visiting outdoors; is a nice way to bond. lol The same with sampling plants to see what they might be like down the grow. I personally do not like to eat it unless at a party or not going anywhere public because i can't control the dose and myself, as well as a pipe. lol nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i would argue that thc may be the favorite, its not the only chemical in it. if that was true, every strain would feel the same, depending on ripeness. i think they are many more factors than the crystals. has anyone ever smoke mids before? theyre are no crystals, but will get you buzzed. and its not in my mind Alley!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rosenthal and company's early bible, contained a sestion where they assessed cannabanoids [?] and tetra hydr - chloride [? lol] levels, from all parts of the plant. Every part, even the stem courtesy of its proximity to sticky bits, contained mind altering compounds. How they effect people varies between people physiologically and psychologically; socially speaking some people like the light buzz of a joint of leaf, as opposed to being catatonically stoned on some 25% hydromutant. lol As 'the watching of trich religion' shows, the levels of these compounds and their ratio to each other, ; changes, over time, between strains and dependant on 'grow variables, method of harvest, drying etc. All effecting the type of stone. here are 2 pics of why i sometimes have to go for the everything bag. pic 1 is called '3 more months in this outdoor hellhole' pic 2 is called, 'my trichs just aren't ready.' smoke it, eat it, mj you can't beat it. lol nigel
