![]() ![]() ![]() | Mattdreads: Great story, now I'm hooked, what was the idea that you wanted Richie Rich to invest in? Can you say? Thanks Sashanub: I am bothered by smoke also, thus the reason for buying the vaporizer. The vaporizer benefits greatly from the cleaned pot, you get larger, denser, smoother hits at a lower temperature. Sounds like you have a similar procedure to the extreme trim. MorningDew: You hit it right on the money! "What to do with all that pot" exactly. I have pretty much tried the alternative products like canna butter, bubble bags, hash oil, none did much for me except the bubble bags and that was just ok. grow on chronik_catfish: I agree with you that the genetics make a big difference in the taste and high, otherwise there would not be 100's of strains with breeders developing more, looking for that elusive perfect smoke. I tend to buy the best genetics from reputable breeders, usually previous cannabis cup winners. I don't understand the following statement, "IMO- Focus should be set on what is good in life not what is best. Maybe your missing the point of sowing a seed and reaping YOUR OWN harvest." C_C, I do sow my own seeds and reap my own harvest, all the while attempting to improve my procedures and outcomes. Did you mean this in an esoteric sense? bluecheese: Of course you are correct, only 1 outside grow of 6 female plants. The other 3 grows come from my indoor hydro setup. Besides the 6 plants you are allowed to have 12 immature plants at the same time, I have been led to believe that means plants that have not shown their sex yet. That being the case if you can get the timing right you could get 4 grows a year. However you look at it, we are talking about serious weight, all for 1 person. More than enough to cover any waste that occurrs. Everybody: If you are buying pot clearly you don't want to try this as the waste would kill you. However if you are in a similar situation as I, with abundant stash, and you have a craving to improve some of your stash, this works. If you are satisfied with your stash the way it is Great! I don't really give a big shit one way or the other as this was just an informational post. I cannot seem to get it across that this has nothing to do with the way I grow, what I grow, what you grow, the way you grow, how you flush or any other fucking thing to do with growing pot, and I don't need your advice on how to grow, what to grow or any other fucking thing since I never asked for it. This was informational only for the people that may want to try something different. Jeez, peace

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I can't believe that tidbit slipped by me... But hypothetically.... what if you lived someplace where the climate allowed it? Just thinking out loud here.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nub here, but I think it's more of a light issue as opposed to climate(?). You'd need 3-4 "summers" where light is ~16 each followed by an "autumn" where light reduces to ~12.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | yes, I was jsut trying to keep the story a bit shorter I'm an autobody mechanic and have been working on cars my whole life. my uncles (mothers brothers) are both lisenced aircraft mechanics, and the older of those brothers was a shop owner. I started working at his shop when I was 9 or 10, and started really working on cars after a year or so, and sprayed my first car when I was 14. we've painted everything from scooters to bikes, to boats, to semi's and even a cessna 337 and one of those gliders that get pulled up by another plane. that uncle that I learned sooo much from has been working for a while on trying to build an ultralight helicopter. he had the design for the body, slightly modified from the standard design of a military portable 1 sitter helicopter. problem is, with all the hydrolics needed to complete all the nessecary controls for the head of the helicopter it is too heavy. it's eluded everyone so far to put together a portable helicopter that actually falls under the true "ultralight" classification. benefit being, if it's ultralight, you don't need a pilots license. I can fly a plane, but I don't have my license, and that takes thousands, so if I had an ultralight plane, I could fly without a problem. (as long as you actually know how to fly...otherwise, there would probably be a problem. LOL) we were sitting over his notes and models and papers and crap, and I was presented this problem, his hang up, why he couldn't get the chopper under the weight. and me, being completely fresh to the mechanics of all this, I haven't been working with this stuff for years and years, my knowledge was very very basic then. a lot of times, if you've been dealing with something for so long, it's even harder to look through or around something. I was smacked in the head with a great idea, and I asked my uncle "hey, if you had something like this....blah blah blah" and basically my idea ended up in theory working out. the numbers worked. it ended up basically that the only thing I thought of was the shape, because the original idea had to be of course modified to proper standards, but because of the simplicity of it (probably because of the simplicity of my knowledge at the time) in his opinion he's actually be able to create a true ultralight helicopter, one that can be flown without a pilots lisence. if you had these, and took them around all over america and sold them at airshows and other events with planes...man you could make millions! literally. we calculated, after the first is made, and we got are molds built and the first prototype built, we'd be able to put these together for under to around $20,000 a piece. we could resell the for over a half mill, and they'd probably still sell but we both don't think that's fair, and both agree that if they're cheaper, you'll sell more, and make more money in the end anyway. so we thought about 150,000 - 200,000 per complete heli, and sell the kit itself for much cheaper if people want to built it themselves. that's so cheap in the world of helicopters, and even if we only sold 4 a year, conservatively that's $350,000 to 400,000 thousand a year. and selling 4 would not be considered a great year, IMO. so anyway, I brought this to him, and tryed to explain it to him, without actually giving up the actually idea itself. like I said, I still wish I hadn't, before I'd done that, he was already talking about flying me to peru to see his house and so I could meet his tiger. I asked for 20K, I think I said 10K earlier, but that damn one is still right next to the two on my keyboard. lol anyway, that's the story, I'm a bit sidetracked now, hope this all makes sense. lol happy growing -Matt

mattdreads - Great story, thanks for sharing. Is your idea for the chopper still viable? A long time ago I lived in an area that many people came to to fly ultra lights and gyro copters, they are the ones with the non-powered rotor and a pusher engine. There was also a glider field close by so I have some limited knowledge there too. One thing I know for sure is that those people spend loads of money on their hobby. Check out the flying mags and they are full of adds for kit planes, I didn't see any for copters but I wasn't looking. If you can come up with a portable ultra lite copter that can hover and that you can sell in a kit for $200 grand, you will become a rich man indeed. Don't give up you have a good idea. Now all you need to do is work on that weed thing. ![]() Peace brother

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | definitely still viable, and luckily still not accomplished. both myself and my uncle still have not been able to come up with the money, or time because of the need to make money to support our familie's. we both have 2 children, which is also an expensive hobby. ![]() glad you liked to story, and when we finally get the funds together and can sit in the prototype and vertical take off from our favourite camping spot at priest lake. a small opening of maybe 15 foot diameter, I'll have pictures and post them up here. she'll hover, it's a fixed pitch 3 blade head with no gyros, just a normal collective. you really need to know how to fly a helicopter to fly this. not something you just buy and take home. that's something solid, it will happen someday, even we don't end up the first, which I really hope we do. take it easy on with the weed thing first though indeed. lol -Matt
