I've never gotten bud rot this early in flowering before.. these buds grew in so tight it's rediculous. Day 43 I found some bud rot on my purplekush. I cut those buds completely off and removed them.. Humidity is about 45%, which also puzzles me. I added an extra fan on them thinking more air movements...less bud rot... nope. A few days later, more bud rot. I started flushing them immeadiately. The next day more bud rot!!! I've thrown away about an ounce of great bud. I was in the middle of harvesting my mango plants and thought I'd take these to day 60 at least bud looks like the puple kush has to go first

IOf you find out what is causing it let us know. Thats really troubling cause I was at 50% RH during flower sometimes. Im wondering if the plants caught some sort of airborne bacteria or bug.
Scary!

my humidity is only around 20-30 when i'm flowering. 45 almost seems to high for tight bud, no?

I run my dehumidifier full on the last week or so, only reads down to 20%, then it just says "low", I still have to watch my Russians and Nebula, both strains grow such big central buds that it's always a hazard. I've been topping and LSTing them so I get more, but smaller buds, seems to help.

My temps are about 75/68. Dehummy has been running full blast to keep the room down to 45%...it must be on it's last leg
I don't think it was any airborne bacteria as the other plants in the room are good and healthy. I think my problem is that I wasn't feeding them strong enough the first 10 days of flower and they had almost no stretch at all and were just looking shitty. Once I uppped the nutes they greened up and started flowering, but seems as perhaps the no stretch part made the canopy so dense that they aren't getting enough air flow. I didn't have any new mold when I checked them tonight...thank God. They're on about day 50 and looking very healthy. Gonna cut them anyway.
Peace
CT

Most of them were cut on about day 53... No more mold, it's all good. I only lost about an ounce.

I think thats your culprit... With dense canopies I often pick fan leaves just to improve airflow and prevent mold.

I also think that your spore count could be high, maybe an HEPA filter in the room is in order? Shouldnt be neccesary though if you pluck some fans.
