Two different schools of thought I have heard.

1. Start flushing pure RO in the final 2 weeks for smoother/tastier bud

2. No flushing at all because you lose weight starving your plants the last two weeks.

Discuss here, I have always done dirt and never flushed in medium size ops. I am using hydro now. Graduated up from a smaller closet test grow to bigger room and don't want to lose any weight by starving them, so am looking for some hands exp on here from the big boys.

starve them? lol id rather loose an extra 10 grams than have a 500 gram harvest taste like shit.

The plants can store enough nutes in the leaves to last it a bit so you are really not starving it. Thoes nutes burn rather harshly and I don't like the idea of smoking the chemicals even if they did not taste like crap ;-)

I hear ya. I have always used organics when using the dirt and never ran into poor tastes from chems. I also didn't flush on my closet and didn't notice a chem taste, but I was thinking it could taste more skunky/spicy than it did. No headaches either, I have heard that reported before as well.

My harvest is going to be more like 5lbs plus when these get done. I have 2 weeks before I start flowering, just got the roots starting to show up on the clones. But yeah, I am wondering an apprx weight differential, is yours an estimate or from practice?

That is what I have been thinking on the nute storage. But is it an entire 2 weeks or do you think a week of flushing will do the trick too?

ive had too really try before to get the greenness out the leaves at harvest. some plants will use up the n overnight, others will take 3 weeks of flushing. the longer the tastier

I will do some testing on this. I am using several different strains on this grow, so i will get a wide spectrum of results hopefully.

I'm wondering this as well because I have three plants that are all the same strain, started the same day, but one looks like it will be ready in a week or two and one is about 2-3 weeks behind it, all using the same res. I'm leaning toward starting the flush this weekend and just flushing the late bloomer for a little longer than the other two.

Also, mine are autos and are supposed to be ready next weekend. I'm leaning toward starting a RO flush this weekend as the one that is behind is VERY bushy (much more so than the other two) and has plenty of green to use up.
