that depends, are you using RO water to flush? I don't ph RO water - there's nothing in it and it will take on the ph of the soil

If your pH is off, do you pH higer/lower then what you want the final pH to be?

Like say my pH was 7 and I want it at 5.7 would I water with 5.7 or like 5.0?

Good point is this soil or hydro? Ro water...humm...good point there too. Maybe Ph'ing water during flush is not so needed. Just always got in the habit of Ph'ing all water I grow with. I'll try it next time for giggles.

it's simple math. you're at 7. so you subtract 5.7 (where you want to be) from seven and get 1.3, You need to go 1.3 lower than 5.7 (4.4) to equal it out. but do it slowly at lower ppm or you can really fry the plants.

make sense?

if you dont notice any problems then your fine. my well water is at 5.2, so i needa raise it. nutrients are best absorbed around 6.5 for soil, and 5.6 for hydro...it can work out of those ranges, but some nutrients may get locked out.

i think in organic its all about the soils ph a good healthy living soil can take any water almost and use it wisely

the acidity of many nutrients will lower the ph of hard water to a useable range. When I mix up my nutes, the ph of the mix is around 4.8 which is way too low

I'm using city water which is around 8.,,I'm phing down to 7. and letting it sit for a couple of days before using it(in soil) and I'm not having any problems with it ,,,,,,,I only ask because I read a post saying your last week of watering should not have any chem in it not even Ph solution,,,,,,there is no taste or smell from what I'm using ,,but the more shit I read the more questions I have,,,,,,You can start a post about myths and things you have read or heard from someone else that would go on forever,,,example,,,I read if you leave your plants in darkness for the last 36hrs your buds will be thicker,,,,,,,or how about molasses in the water on your final waterings,,I read 1 guy was going to use Koolaid,,wtf,,,,,anyone heard any others,,I'm sure there's a myth for every stage of growth.,,,,,,,,,,Anyhow I will hopefully be chopping by Sat.
