I am wondering about how you trim your grow when drying. Do you leave all leafs on? Do you only trim leafs that are not green? Do ya only trim main leafs or??? I have read that chlorophyll's can be affected along with taste etc etc.. & hope to hear input on factors of why you trim and how they effect your end results. All input is apprecated. \ooo/

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i pluck off all the fans, and clip all the leaves back as far as i can without cutting off hairs and good stuff. fiskar micro tip shears are the shit for this! if i can reach in the bud, and clip the whole leaf off at the stem i do.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I guess I throw in my .What I do: Chop plant, remove all fan leaves. Hang plant upside down for 3-4 days until somewhat dried. Chop into individual buds, remove more leaves but not all. Re-hang buds to dry further until ready for jars. Small leaves that grow out of the buds are left on, this is my reason: Those small leaves are 1/2 or more covered in trichs, so are not bad smoke themselves. Also, since the plant was hung those leaves sort of curl around part of the buds, protecting them from being damaged until I pull them apart to smoke. I feel like that makes up for having a bit of leaf in my hits. It's also easy enough to remove those tiny leaves before packing a bowl. Whenever I run out of bud, the bag shake is still decent smoke. I understand leaving those leaves on during drying increases risk of mold, just keep a very close eye on them while drying, make sure your RH is good, and have a fan on for good air circulation. I'm not saying my way is better than total leaf removal, it's just what I prefer.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i dry trimmed ONCE. never again. anyone that does that has way more patience than i ever will. i used to be slack about trimming off the leaves in the buds, figuring they were sugary why not. but when i get done with a jar, and look at my tray, i see all the leaves i didnt clip just laying there. no one wants to smoke that shit, so ya might as well cut em off. unless you are trimming for purposes other than personal use, then you might want to keep as much matter on there for its weight.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i hang up a line usually. first thing. then clip buds off one by one. trim them when wet. hang em up. take a little break after each plant as my neck starts hurting. lol after the buds have been hanging a few days, i "break them down". basically remove the biggest inner stem of them, and start placing in bags/jar.while im clipping the buds off the main stem, i trim up any little leaf i see. imo wet trim is much quiker, easier, and less damaging to the buds. big fan leaves get burnt/compost...frosted leaves get cured for hash or cooking.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | i agree that wet is easier to trim then dry. all leaves must get trimmed i try to get them where the connect to the stem.. IMO, gives a far superior taste! everyone that smokes with me is surprised how good it tastes, and asks what it is. i just respond "weed, good weed" but i dont know a good way to cure the wet trim after its off the plant, and all my trimmings usually mold and get thrown away instead of being made into hash or butter.
