I love the different subjects we get to look at as well as mj.

google variations of 'marijuana - history', there are a few interesting lectures and shows on origins and landraces.

The more we know about them, the better we can implement our knowledge of growing.

big leaf/ small leaf, vigorous growth/ slow growth, big plant/ small plant, heavy feeder/ light feeder.....there is an environmental, or genetic, or man made reason behind these differences.

Fat leaf to me means needs water, thin leaf means drought tolerant. A lot of the lessons on working out plants in general gardening, are applicable to mj.

The lights and gadgets and nutes are only half the grow equation; the plant and its personality are generally the deciding half.lol nigel

LoL to me "Big Leaf" always meant indica and "Small leaf" = sativa
When did it all become such a science, I liked it better when all I had to worry about was weather the lil seed germinated or not.. Now, its becoming complicated.. LOL
not really but,

Have a Great day

I am a bit confused, once the summer solstice hits, the amount of daylight goes down and being that there are only 24 hours in a day. One period is going to get more time than the other. So I guess wouldnt an environment that mimicked the coming of fall push the plant to get all its buds out?

I'm not trying to say your wrong AC bcuz what you said makes a lot of sense too.

I guess the question it ultimately comes down to, is does budding have more to do with the days counted by the plants or by the length of day and night periods? They both seem logical. But i'm only a newbie at this stuff.

MK ULTRA UPDATE-ALSO AMS AND CHOCOLOPE
permalink

sorry 'bout the delay, getting ready to go to italy for a week. anyone know about the rules on seeds there? also, stopping in amsterdam on the way back, but plane lands at midnight and one leaving for usa leaves at 8 am- are those seed shops open all night?
took out a retaining wall, putting in a dedicated 8" x 16" exhaust trunkline tomorrow. as you can see in the foto's i've been fighting heat. so the first few are of the mk ultra propped up with string so we can get at the wall. she's a totally unruly bitch, can't say i blame her after all she's been through. i'm hoping ? that those fluffy buds chunk up here in the next couple weeks. remember, we went back into veg due to a blown timer.
in the next pix the AMS is the lighter shaded (burned) tops, and the chocolope is the darker. funny, the AMS was zooming and choco was dying amd now choco is doing better. both are packed heavy with trichs, the last pix are of a condition i can't seem to shake. i've even turned my nutes all the way down to 560 ppm, not helping.

RCMN11, are you flowering with MH? Doesnt look like a HPS spectrum.

Rather, it looks alot like my bloom cabinet (with a 400MH)

That could be the cause of the lighter buds. It happens to me too.

They dont stay extremely wispy. They do fill out and get more solid, but im told if i use HPS for flowering that it will stop the fluffy bud problems.

MK AMS CHOCO

thanks for the advice. i've read that HPS run a bit hotter, and to just run them for the two weeks prior to finishing on the MK ULTRA, so that's what i did. maybe i should switch it back......problem is i leave this saturday for europe for a week. i've got three different systems going on down there i need to keep it simple for my gal while i'm gone. i'm thinking i'll follow your advice and switch it when i get back. thanks again.
