Sounds like they are worried about the structure of the tent be able to support the weight of the fan and filter... and gently buttering you up in the process.

Fans are cooled by the flow of air they produce. they do not get hot nor do they contribute to the cooling requirements of your cab.

you can put the fan at the end of the line, but you are now using flex duct in a way it was not designed. you are also sucking stink into the system at every pinhole, every tape seam, every leak along the line. and there are literally thousands, if not millions of tiny pores in the duct.

The choice is yours, do it however you want. i ALWAYS connect the fan directly to the filter and duct the rest. This lets me sleep at night, because i know there is no way the duct could come off the fan, or off the filter and blow skunky air into my neighbors back yard.

Luke,
That was only a portion of what was written, they said you can hang it inside as well without any issues, they just say to ensure it's strapped in good and tight so it doesn't vibrate off and crush your plants.

If the fan cools itself, then I am less worried, I was thinking more heat dissipation than anything else.

Down by the central library under a bridge beside a tree, one day sat a homeless boy who smoked a bowl with me,
He asked if I could spare a hoot, so I handed him a joint, he smoked it oh so fervently and got right to the point,
He spoke of yellow dragons and purple dinosaurs, and jagged little buttons on polka dotted doors,
But did it bring him happiness, even through his grief? Oh yes it did, my compliments to the 7 Pointed Leaf.
