I am coming upon my my final week till harvest and have been researching and reviewing drying manicuring and curing in antisipation of the end. My question is which method to use in manicuring the buds. I have read that manicuring while still wet is much simplier and less time consuming. What does everyone perfer to do with there harvest and if you could explain why this is the best way. Like i said from reading people have said how much easier it is to manicure before everything is dry. I also would like to know which will produce the best eye appeal or look. If i manicured when wet i would be cutting, but i have seen a harvest journal that buds are dried, fan leaves plucked when wilted and a few days later when almost completely dry without the stems being complete dry as well, you then pluck all the sugar leaves off and your done. Ready to cure in jars. This method i can already tell would be more time consuming but i do believe that it makes sense this way might give you a better look but at what cost in time. Do you think it is worth the extra time to hand manicure the buds? If some of you could give me your 2 cents and i ll go from there

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I snip off all the big fan leaves and throw them out. Then I trim up around the buds real close, being carefull not to mess them up in the process. If my fingers are really sticky in the end, I know I could have been more carefull. I trim all the small bud leaves into a bucket. I use them for cooking or hash then. After a bud gets trimmed, I hang it on a line. Sits in a dark 65 degree room for about 4-5 days. After that I cut off every bud from the main stems into a jar. Close them a few hours to make the buds "sweat", open up and let moisture escape. I do this a few days untill I'm confident they can be sealed for long periods without a chance of mold. Humidity never goes above 60, and temps are 65-70 degrees. I also keep a small fan in the same room, not pointed at them but just to move the air around. Wet is by far better and easy imo. Saves a lot of trichomes too, and I think that is pretty much a fact. When they are dry they are more brittle. Which means every little snip and shake of a bud you loose some.
