![]() | I have read various things about when to harvest, some contradicting. I am looking to get a more psychedelic and enlightening affect, not as much narcotic. What would the recommended ideal time for this be? I am thinking around 50% pistols turned. There are two options that I have decided on for curing. The first being, tupperware. The second, a paper bag. What are the pros and cons between the two? Thanks for reading, White Vampire\Rem

![]() | I don't think tupperware/paper-bag is an either/or choice. I'd use both. Use the paper-bag first to dry the bud out and then put in the tupperware for the multi-week cure. Peace.

Airtight, easy to stack and store, goes right in the freezer with no burn worries. Paper bags could work, but may make for an overly dry bud. You can remoisturize, no problem, but the bag will suck the moisture out of the bud, and leaving them moist is key to the cure. They have mason jars out now in all the grocery stores(harvest time is nigh!), damn cheap! $8 for a dozen quart jars with fully sealed tops. Keep em dark and you can cure good in those Smokin

![]() | de-humidifiers are supposed to be the next best thing to an actual cure. To dry a little more quickly but without nuken em, you do like smokin said and put them in paper bags. For a 2-10 minute dry time, heat your oven up to 200F and then shut it off, wait about 30 seconds, then place your buds on a clean cookie sheet (for an even dry cut bud up into pieces) and thro em in and check on em every minute until they're the tiniest bit crunchy at the edges. i do it this way because my oven doesn't have a setting for less than 200 degrees, which is a little too much heat. The closer to 100F, the slower~>better the dry. I've also just let it sit at 200F and prop the cookie sheet half on-top of the partially-opened oven door and half on-top of the range, so the middle of the cookie sheet is suspended over the open oven door (make sense?). I like to hang for 3 days, then cure in tupperware for as long as I can stand it. Slim Last edited by Slim; 09-06-2001 at 10:22 AM..

![]() | Careful! If you smell a fungus smell....you may have bud mold starting. How long did you dry before putting it in for curing? Most of the moisture needs to be out of the bud when you put it in your curing container. It will smell kinda funky at first...but as time goes on...it mellows. Very important to air out containers daily until you see no more condensation on the inside of the container. Good luck cy ![]()

![]() | I stumbled across a site that recommends using a paper bag after drying and then additionally using a glass jar cure. What are your thoughts on this? The site is: http://www.cannabisculture.com/backi...cc10/cure.html Regards, White Vampire\Rem
