Totally forgot about this thread.

Just an update. I did get one of those little 3.2 Cu Feet Mini Fridges to test and use.

It both worked and didn't work. I tested a small single spear (cola) that was about the size of a 1lited bottle and it dried it out very well. It took 11 days to dry and then it went into the jars for curing. RH was 35-40%

Here is where it didn't work. Anything more then a single spear and the humidity being released from the plants would be way TOO much for the frig to handle. I put in about 8 wet oz into the frig to dry and when I checked on it the next day the entire top and bottom section of the frig was drenched in condensation. RH was 100%.

My final solution was to convert a 50gal trashcan into a drying box with some fans to circulate the air. Put the setup into my flowering room and all was well.. Just took up alot of my working room and was super annoying.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
hello jacobs. you didnt mention amount.
every climate is different so adapt teqniks.
in norcal near the ocean. high humidity alot of times.

over years have gotten lazy. this way you don't have to fck with it as much.
colitas turn out flatter this way.
i made 2x8ft frames and stapled screening material onto them. made shelfs out of them along the wall. loaded colas on them single layered. its alright if they touch but don't layer them.
i like fan on low from a distance blowing underneath shelves with air gentaly bouncing off wall. every couple days turn them.
when stems snap i do the final manicure then load screens back up.
surround shelfs with visqueen plastic staple to wall . this should contain shelfs in a tight little room. doent have to be air tight but close . have three sided window cut at top to open and tape shut for air vent.
on floor of little cure area put a 25-100watt incondescent lightbulb.
in my small area with three shelves 5ft high enclosed room temp around mid-high 60's
an initial 100w first day gets enclosed area 90-100 degrees. 120 is okay for short periods keep eye on thermometer inside enclosed area. then start going down in wattage.
vent when needed. you want the buds to sort of start swetting and remoisturizing.
don't get ditsy and add water in bowls or spray. NEVER.
you got to catch buds at right stages and use moister traped in stems and plant parts.
after a couple days the buds are way to moist to smoke. you open area up to room and dry maybe a day then enclose and raise temp to 90-100. buds will remoisen again.
open up to room and if you want dry and bag up.
i've stretched this process out by drying less in process and repeating maybe half dozen times maybe taking 3 weeks. and gotten golder and redder colored buds with hints of chocolate and vanilla.
your buds do shrink slightly.
keep in mind that this worked great with bigger poundage.
with smaller amounts your not going to have enough moister to work with.

for smaller amounts go to department stores and get refrigerator or stove thick cadrboard boxes and line with plastic and cut vents. mount removable shelfs. so on and so forth.
thanks

wow man just read your post above. hope you didnt buy fridge. you just need the box the fridge came in.
