Just want to get a general feedback on people's personal opinions for my personal grow. Today is day 60 for my indoor sativas, and my original plan is to cut them at day 84. But since they are bag seed I have no way to tell for 100% when they will be ready other than checking the trichs with a microscope. Well today I did a quick check and I have noticed that there are about 60-70% cloudy, VERY few amber (personally want as few amber as possible) and the rest are clear. My question is simply how long would you guys suggest I go if they are this ripe thus far. The last time and first time I chopped I used this same bag seed and noticed they really started to fatten up around day 65. Sadly I was also forced to chop early so there was no way for me to gauge what they would of tasted like or smoke if I had gone with my original planning. The purpose of this question is so that I can get a gauge on when I should flush. I was planning on doing it at day 70 and let them go, but if you all suggest an earlier harvest I may need to move up my dates.

I'm not a big couch lock guy but I also find that if the glands are too clear, the high seems neither to have the same kick nor last as long. Of course, it's all subjective. Exceedingly so.

I agree, go with what you planned... you know when they start fattening up. If you got enough green leaf, start flushing around then. No one can tell you exactly when to harvest, its a lot of personal preference. Most of the time flowering days can be off anyway.

...I was just wondering, why at 84 days? What give you the 'feeling' that at that amount of days they will be ready to be harvested to your preference? Just curious. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You don't have to chop them all at one time. Take the top buds first as they mature. Work your way down, cutting buds as they are ready.

![]() | Thanks for the input, puts my mind at ease everyone! As for you Lou, I honestly have nothing to go based upon other than my last and first attempt at growing. When I chopped them down at day 65 last year I certainly was pleased with how they smoked, got a nice up high with no real body stone. But they also were not fully developed when I looked at them through a scope (I had to harvest early). Honestly I am just estimating on how they have been developing through looking with a scope, to when they will be fully mature. While I am not 100% that this will be stone the I want, I am confident that giving them the extra time will greatly increase yield and potency compared to my last operation. Hope that answers your question? And thanks everyone for encouraging me along!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey TrippyTurtle, Why not do as CropReport says, and harvest a little off the top? then, dry them with dry ice- it is supposed to cure them for smoking in a day or two, just like curing in a jar! LINK HERE for dry ice drying experiment by GanjaGardener That way, you cure just a little. Don't like the high? try some in a week or two, and so on. Also next time you grow that strain or another unknown you'll have a better idea.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good morning, I disagree with any curing or drying method that speeds up a process that should be done slowly such as the "dry-ice method" of curing in a day or so that'll make my smoke taste anywhere near as good as a 30 day in jar cure. IMO Thats like saying any type of "quick" dry method (IE: stovetop, microwave) will give the flavorful taste of a slow dry - its just not gonna happen.. ![]() have a Great day don
