Overdrying May Be A Problem?
permalink

I have no choice but to chop my plants in a few days as I'm leaving for over two weeks. I'm worried that they may be too dry if I leave them hanging. I certainly dont want to come home to powdery buds. Does anyone have any suggestions to slow down the drying time? I've even though of watering the morning I chop them just to prolong the dry time.

I think that you would be okay for two weeks if you didn't trim the plants.

Hang'em by their heels. Untrimmed plants dry slowly.

Giving them a good drink the day the chop wouldn't hurt either.

Do you have a good place to hang them while you are gone?

Thanks for the replies. I have a closet I can hang them. Ventilation's ok but not near a window. I've never thought of the fridge.

I chopped 4 plants the day I was leaving for Yellowstone. A week later when I got back home, they were still fairly moist. I didn;t hang dry, I put them on a baking rak and placed them in a dresser drawer. They were kept close together to help retain some moisture.

Bring them over to my house. I'll watch them for a couple weeks. You supply the jars.

3 days later....

Officer Jones: Aha! What do we have here?
Freedomrider: They're not mine. I'm just watching them for a friend.

That sounds interesting...17 days close together might invite mold though?
