![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You should look into some black and white poly. Its used as a reflective material for walls. It can also be layed on your carpet. Id do two layers though incase you tear one. No need to mess up the carpet. You can get a 10 foot tall, 25 foot long roll of it for like 25-35 bucks.

![]() | Thanks for the input and advise, guys. I will definately check into the polly. And, I've always got plenty of bleach around. We use a lot of it washing bedding and potty pads for the Yorkshire Terriers that we raise. For the grow that I have going on now, I lined the bottom of the closet with disposable wee-wee pads. I figured the white on them might help just a tad with light reflection. Plus, they absorb excess water if I accidentally over water. If they get wet, I just make sure to change them out before they have a chance to start to mold. And, I also figured the pads would help to keep resin off the carpet. Thanks again guys!!! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've had seeded pot that was as good as any I've smoked in a long lifetime of smoking. I also don't know whether it affects production...My last grow was pollinated lightly with an errant hermie flower. The buds were enormous. Bigger than anything I've grown in the past...but that was most likely from the new genetics that I grew out. Still, I had to stake 'em down about 1/2 into their flowering period and I've NEVER had to do that before. But perhaps they would have been bigger had they not been seeded. Wadda I know?. It's just that they are inconvenient...they screw up joints (as pointed out), they make grinding and vaping weed really difficult and they are a major distrction when trying to dry sift (Like what I just smoked before trying to type this out coherently...hah! fat chance!!). Other than that they are really, REALLY good for planting and seeing what comes up.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Carpet and moisture must be kept completely separate, to avoid damage and mould. A kiddy pool, a tray, a frame lined with doubled over plastic, or some means of containing spillage. stoner + water = spillage; no matter how careful you are, 3 months without an oopsy is rare. lol Go to planting indoors, construction forum at top is full of ideas. best wishes nigel

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | sounds like good design for the spills and and other carpet issues. Along with what you plan to do I would line the floor with heavy duty plastic. you could use cheap stuff or the stuff that has been mentioned for the walls, but that plastic is a bit more expensive than the cheap stuff.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good morning and ... Welcome to the Garden, I would use drip trays under each container if your in soil over and above the use of those wee-wee-pads.. If it were me though, i'd be more prone (looking ahead, thinking-outside-the-box) to line the floor with either an oversized (to fit 3" or so up the wall) double layer sheet of Panda Plastic or build a framed box 3" high or so lined with Panda Plastic white side up for reflectivity to use with or w/o drip trays. I'd prob use with, extra insurance aganst possible damage to carpet. If I owned the property, i'd remove the carpet and line the floor itself.. IMO Good luck it sounds like your on your way to doing it the right way.. Have a Wonderful day don

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Its kind of shitty when you buy a 1/2 oz (14gs) of weed and 8 gs are seeds you only get 6 gs weeds to smoke.....thats what seeds do provides extra weight thats not medicene

![]() | Thanks for your input, Allglad and CamperDon! I think I've got some of the cheap painter's plastic in the shed... I'll have to check. The wee-wee pads are supposed to have a moisture proof back. But, if I've got some plastic, I'll go ahead and put some down... just in case. Either way, I'll definately have some down for next grow. My wife and I own our house outright... no bank, no finance company, no mortgage company, nor anyone else!! But, if you notice... I said "My wife and I...." I had already made mention to her... kind of "in passing" like... about thinking of pulling up the carpet in the small closet. I will only say the following four things about our discussion about it: 1) She said, "Not just no... but, hell no!! 2) She is 1/2 owner of our house. 3) In a true democracy (which our home is), the mojority rules. 4) Since I know for a fact that the saying, "if Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" is true, "Momma" is the majority... the majority of the time (at least when it comes to our house)!!! ![]() If I decide to grow more than a couple of plants at one time, I'm going to have to do something different anyway... like build a heated box in my shed, or something. If I do that, I'll do a better job of addressing those issues that have gone un-addressed in the small closet! Quote:
So, when I started this thread, the idea of seeds in weed that I might buy never entered my mind. Thank you for bringing that point out!! ![]() ![]() As for paying for seeds when you thought you were paying for weed... yep, I'd be quite pissed too!!! ![]() ![]()
