I want to buy a dehumidifier to take the moisture out of the air the last few weeks of flowering. This reduces the possibility of mold. I just want a small one, but all the ones I have found are huge and cost over 100 dollars. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just bought one at a "junk" store, $25. Or yard sales. If it was too big you could put it on a timer.

I just don't want one that big. You mean that nobody makes ones the size of a boom box or something that could sit on the end table next to the bed

Don't think so, just to much stuff to be that small. You really shouldn't need one to dry your crop anyways, just a fan.

A while back we had problems with mold growing in side of our boat of all things, The quick solution provided to us by a boating company was to buy this tiny little chemical dehumidifier. All told I think the little 6" high by 4" wide platic thing was like 10 bucks or so and another 4 or 5 for the chemical that you put in it. I love the thing it makes my life so much easier.

The way it works is it collects the water in the air via a passive method (no fans etc) then releases it into a reservoir along with the cemical it self. At the end of the month I dump it out into a sink and that's that. When I want to "turn it off" I simply put a zip lock baggy over it with a rubber band.. Pretty simple huh?

You can find these things at any marin shop..

A quick query at West Marin's site and I found one pretty close to what I have and it's only 5 bucks with a 2 dollar refill kit.. How cool is that?
