![]() | No!...well, sort of. People sometimes tend to harvest prematurely because they wanna get hi NOW. If those people woulda waited another week or whatever then their buds woulda been even more potent. Now then, if you wait too long the THC starts breaking down. So somewhere in there is the perfect time to harvest. The question is: when is that time? The answer is in the little sugary looking things that develop during flowering. Over time, those little crystal thingys will start to get longer. If you look real close you can see that they start off as a little ball and then grow into a mushroom shape. It is important to note that I'm talking about the TINY crystals that form...NOT the longer hair-like "pistals". Now then, when you've got a bunch of clear-looking, mushroom-looking crystals then it is TIME! Eventually, those crystals will start turning brown. If they turn too brown you'll be losing THC. It is degrading. Should you harvest when they are clear or when they are just slightly brown? Different people say different things... OK, here's my final answer: dry some in the microwave on the lowest power setting for 10 minutes. Smoke it! If you like it, then harvest! Leave some on the plant. Try again tomorrow, the next day, etc. This way, you'll learn when the buds for YOUR PARTICULAR TYPE OF PLANT are ready. That way, when your next batch of clones are getting mature, you'll know just when to harvest. There is not nothing. Last edited by orci; 09-10-2002 at 03:09 AM..

is step two of the process... In my opinion... Some people just dry and smoke, or don't cure long enough. Bud is outstanding if its cured completely. it gives the plant time to finish what it started. K here's the part where I could be wrong. The longer you cure, the more the plant has broken down the acids etc. into what you want. I had some freshly cut stuff and it was ok, but a month later after sitting in a glass jar... it was insane.

for plants that yield about an ounce or so of dried bud, right after I chop them, I hang them in my attic for only 4-5 days, then trim them, and place the manicured buds into jars and seal them up. I live in a very humid town, and mold has not been a problem. Always check glass jars for 'sweat' which may accumulate on the walls from fresh bud. If you see this, you should take all the bud out to air it out a bit, at least long enough to let the jar dry naturally.

![]() | I would say that if your glass jars are fogging Man, then you should have left them hanging a few more days. I'd rather leave them hanging for no less than seven days and then put them into glass jars. Always open the jars at least once per day, more if you can, to let out any moisture build-up. Do for another ten days and you are good to go. Patience is the key. LM012
