i have read in some posts that u need to dry out your bud. 1 guy even said u cant smoke it if u dont dry it why do u need to dry it.
i like to smoke in the woods i always get a happy and peacful high when i smoke in the woods and thats whare i am going to plant my plant when its time to pick the buds why cant i just pick them sit down and smoke them next to my plantS or can i

You must dry them to remove the moisture that is locked in the plants cells. If it is not dry it won't burn. You will sit there and empty your lighter and maybe get one or two nasty hits. Look at this way if you walk out in your yard and pick a few blades of fresh grass or grab a green leaf off a tree try and light them on fire. They won't burn will they? why? Becuase it isn't dried out.....

if you have small amounts of pot, they will dry in about 10 seconds under a steady flame, you must be sucking on your pipe to smoke fresh wet properly... as lilbuddie said, if you try to light grass on fire it wont burn. this is correct, but incorrect also. if you hold it for about 5 seconds under a steady flame it will dry, and then it will burn.

Fresh undried smoke i will be ****ing nasty, and a pain in the arse so smoke... but it will have one HUGE advantage over dried herb. It will burn like 1000x slower.

I'm not even sure if its true... A rock wouldn't burn over a fire... At most it would melt...

yes.. a very painstaking experience..the production of herb is a a process which requires great patience..I know the anxious amateur grower wants to smoke the bud right away because I have been one.

however think of all your effort and time thats gone into the plants...its worth waiting a week or so for the bud to dry to a smokable state.

attempting to dry it with heat or micro waves will only take away from the potency.

Just be patient.
