This is a method that my old hippie chemistry teacher tought me. He used to dry all kinds of silly things doing this.

After you've cured the bud in normal fashion, (or just bought some buds) fashion a moderatly airtight box with a screen seperating the top of the box from the bottom. Find a chemical called Dessicant. This chemical absorbs all the moisture from the air into itself. You've probably seen small packets of this stuff in new shoes or other things. Place a small amount of Dessicant in the bottom of the box and put the cured buds on the screen. After about two days in the box your buds will have shriveled up into rock hard nuggets. If pressed hard enough, they will crumble in your fingers.

There will be almost no moisture in your buds after this. It will burn very easily. Great for blunts and cones. Try to only do this to a small part of your bud though, if its not in a blunt or bong it will be pretty harsh.

Why, WHY would I put out a huge effort in growing weed, manicuring buds, taking ahuge risk in transporting the green bud to my house to dry it? Then turn it into trash! You can find dessicant at Home Depot only they call it Damp Rid. Geeeee, what is Damp Rid? Anyway Warloc I am sure that you enjoy smoking the dried up shriveled remains of what was once good bud.

I happen to like having weed that burns just a little bit faster. Most people don't. Does that opinion deserve a flaming?!?!?! Did you have anything relevant to add??? GEEZ!!! Thats where the idea came from . I also use dessicant to dry my bay, catnip, and a few others.

Highguy, I'm not asking you to wear tiedye and become a flower child, but as the old saying goes: "If you don't have anything nice to say..." (or at least anything productive)

Here's the deal.

I am curt when I want to be.

I like to post about growing weed. I don't have to post about growing weed.

If someone gets a little burn oh well. I feel posting on this board is my own little form of protest against the prohibition of Marijuana.

I have no urge to take off my tye dyed clothes sit down around mother marijuana, hold hands and wear peace signs. Know that up front.

I like to grow good weed and get baked. It helps me think. If I have an opinion contrary to someone else and post it I am sorry I offended you.

I am a Cornell Graduate with a Ph.D. in Bio Chem. I am working in a research lab in upstate NY with a foci on Fruit Trees. I have been doing growing research in this area for the last 24 years. I have continued my education to include 4 years of Bio Genetics at MIT. I try to post to a level that the questioner can understand. Should my post be unwelcome let me know and they will assuredly stop.

My time to post is limited and if my help is unwanted I am gone. There are three other grow boards I post on, and contributed here by invitation from a connection on another board.

Don't take a burn to me I am direct and to the point. If that's too much for you then I am gone.
