| I was reading up on how to harvest and I wasn't quite sure how I was supposed to do it. Origionaly I thought that I was supposed to rip the whole plant out, roots included, and hang it upside down to dry. But then I read something about "regenerating" a plant and about harvesting only the bud or havesting half the plant at once. Any info would be great, thanks!-Demon53 | ||

Yep, you'll already have a root system and just need to add new greenery to the mix in a much shorter time frame Leave some bottom secondary buds intact and and go back to 24/0. Not to drop a plug but there was a nice write up in Cannabis Culture on this subject this month.LB

| After the first harvest, put the lights on for 24hrs. O.k. cool - but how long should I wait before turning lights back to 10hrs again? Does the plant start to show signs?? Also, does the plant flower and bud quicker the second time round, or is it another 60 day wait? Never tried to regenrate after harvesting before. I'm keen to give it a burl. I uproot the plant and use leaves for cooking | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It is quicker than maturing the plant from seed. Leave approx the lower 1/3 of the plant intact; main stem and a couple of lower secondary buds sites. Feed it a high N diet to get the new growth going. New growth will start to emerge from the stem and bud sites after a few weeks then veg to the point that you want to flower again. Since this is unnatural for the plant to do some take more quickly to it then others; something about being more or less photo-reactive. Check out the issue if you can... Why woudln't it be just as good as the first round? Hmmm... I just looked and this subject is not in the grow guide here Looks like we could use some content addition ![]() LB

| I had to move my plant outside so now it is growing in a 3 gallon bucket. Since my plant is outside I don't think I will be able to regenerate because I'll be harvesting close to winter (I live in New England). Thanks for all the feedback ![]() -Demon53 [This message has been edited by Demon53 (edited June 26, 2000).] | ||
