Ok...so i picked a bud off of my plant and dryed it so i could test it. My plant is roughly 9-10 weeks into flowering. Only about 5% of the pistols have turned red. but i decided to pick anyways. After it had dryed for a couple days, i went to smell and noticed it smelled NOTHING like pot should smell like. It has the smell of cucumbers!! It also tastes and smells like when i tried to smoke some sun-leaves from the plant. Whats that all about??

Let's move this over to Harvesting and Drying

Different strains have different smells. As far as smelling like nothing, I think that it just hasn't been cured enough to bring any strong smell. Once cured properly you should notice a smell develop.

Yeah, well I've been growing some cucumbers that smell of weed.

They make a fat joint, but don't get you stoned tho'

I just puffed some "early bud" from my #2 girl. It was still a tad wet, and it had that same "cucumber" smell. But, I got higher `n s**t!

I trim off as much of the fan leaves as I can. I did this with my first "sample" and it tasted like almost pure Kif. Different plant, tho too, so it's gotta be genetic traits as well. From what I hear, trimming the leaves down as far as possible helps with the eventual taste - as well as a nice, long cure!

Stay Green!
