| I posted this question about 10 days ago, so I don't think I'm being impatient when I say, Hook me up with a link to someone who has described a drying room/box/process or I die. I know it seems like such a rudimentary question that one ought to be able to figure it out oneself. However, as my favorite book says "There is wisdom in many counselors" and as I say "The dank is in the details" So give a fellow grower a break, and tell me everything you know about the environment needed to properly dry and cure superior quality Marijuana. "I'm interested in building a drying box or room for my buds. I want to smoke only the best, so patience is not a problem. I have read that 50 to 60 percent humidity is ideal in a drying room, with a drying time of about two weeks. I know it sounds high, but the buds will dry without molding if the airflow is good. So what do I do?" Boo | ||

![]() | "...you just have to do it (and make mistakes and learn from those mistakes) until you get a feel for it. i'm almost embarassed to tell you how little effort i put into curring these days. i used to do all these different things and agonize over when to do what in an effort to get the buds perfectly cured. now all i do is trim the budz and put them into empty cardboard holders cases of soda or beer come in. once they dry to the touch i put them into 1 gal plastic ziplock bags and let the moisture sweat out of the stems into the budz again. once the budz are wet again i put them back into the cardboard containers for an hour or so until they are dry to the touch again. i repeat this process anywhere between 2-5 times until the budz are slightly wetter than perfect. i then squeeze all excess air out of the ziplocks (being careful not to pack the budz together to much), seal well, pack all bags into big plastic garbage bags (as many as you need to make sure the budz are air tight and well protected. i normally fill the garbage bags half way with the smaller zip lock bas of weed, twist and tie the top, then stick the whole thing into another garbage bag, twist and tie the top, repeat until they have 2 or 3 garbage bags protecting the weed). i then store in a refrigerator (DO NOT freeze! freezing causes the trichrome heads to expand and burst). i then open everything up and air the bags of weed for 10-15 seconds every other day for a few weeks, twice a week for a few more weeks, then once every week or two until it's all gone. i also make sure i don't let anything sit around to long, i don't move new batches until the older batches are gone. now whats not written in those step by step instructions is exactly when to do all those things and like i said earlier, you just have to get a feel for it." - Sly/Bross Grimm wolfman[This message has been edited by wolfman (edited August 18, 2000).] | ||
