I wanna take a bud this weekend and smoke it.
What should I do to it before rolling it up into a big blunt?
Do I have to dry it first, or is that just what some people like to do first?
If you do have to dry it, could you through it in and nuke it or would it be better to put it in the oven?
Or, should I cut it a few days before and let it just dry on it's own?

Don't mean to be lame, but it's the first time that I have grown it my self. I remember getting bud before and it being kinda wet, so I'm not sure if it was dried either? But one way or another, we smoked it. they could have sold it when it was wet to make it weigh more.
Any advice for me would be wonderful

thanks

LOL! You just can't wait can ya

Well, if you dry it in the oven at around 150 or so and check it often. You will either end up with a harsh smoke that may taste like hay or grass and it'll burn off the THC slightly was well so less potent.

Nuke for like 10-15 sec at a time I think (honestly can't remember) and it will taste harsh as well and grassy. Too high and you'll burn up THC again.

At least cut it and stick it in a brown paper bag first if you must for a few days before doing either of the above and it will be a little better.

If the bud is too wet you'll burn up all the good stuff by the time the actual plant burns and that would be a waste

The best ways are here in the boards already.

I just cut a branch with some bud on it and I put it ontop of my hps lihgt. I figure it's a worm and dry place, so it should dry alright. I don't think it's a fire hazard cuz it doesn't get that hot to burn any thing. Plus the bud is far too wet to worry about combustion. I'm thinking it should be ready in a few days. I'm also wondering if any one elce has dried their bud this way. I'm not planning to do the whole plant like this, I just want a bit of smoke for the weekend.

any questions or comments, please provide some ink below.

Thanks

Thanks for the feed back!

I think I got some dry bud! I have had my bud lying atop my hps light and the whole thing is almost dry. The stem will still bend, but it will not crack yet. I think another day or 2 and it will be ready. (just wanna taste it) I don't like it harsh, so I don't want to put any major heat on it.

Here is a qucik question for you... How much thc is in the pistils? the bud that I have drying is full of white pistils. Should I through it all in the splif, or should I leave the white things out?

roll'n..roll'n..roll'n

Put your buds on paper plate, fill coffe cup with cold water and put both in microwave
for 6-15 minutes on high, check often and turn buds over,do not over cook and make sure if you are cooking for longer than 6 minutes to cool off the cup before heating up things for another 6 minutes, you get the idea? This is the BEST way to have good THC levels I've been doing it htis way for years

High All

This is the best and quickest way to dry and smoke a fresh off the plant bud without losing too much THC.
Get a paper towel or paper plate, place bud or buds or leafs on it,put in microwave,Now get a coffe cup fillto the top with cold water put cup in microwave. You will have to check the buds,so the buds don't get too dry, also dont let the coffe cup get too hot,If your cooking on high for more than 5 minutes you will want to change the water in the coffee cup.more cold water..

anyway for a few joints worth of bud it will take about 6 to 15 minutes on high in microwave. This is the best way by far!!!
Been doing it this way for years.
HAPPY SMOKING, PEACE,MEDICAL MIKE
