I have tried several different methods of drying and harvesting but I have yet to find one that makes my nugs sitcky and gooey but still smokable like most of the commercial dank I have smoked in the past. Someone please tell me how I get my nugs so their sticky icky but smoke perfect. Personally I dont like the dry and brittle type bud. I remember not to long ago a homie of mine came through with some "hydro" and you could press the **** on the wall and it would stick there but it smoked perfect and even. How they hell do I harvest my bud to get like that? IS there a true and tested method to get these results? Any input is greatly appreciated. L41178852

![]() ![]() ![]() | there is lesser a method more a style .. u need to learn it from expeirence and there is also strain factors and enviromental variables that come into making weed very sticky etc.. Majority of weed that goes around is not infact sticky-ichy... its simply misted with either a home-made formula or simply just misted with water to make the bud burn longer and weigh more. Therefor even furthur ripping you off. If u have to resort to getting your blaze off the street, then find gear that is dry, not so dry it crumbles.. but close you get the most quantity for weight ratio and it chops out alot too Hope this helps PEACE

![]() | knorecollection - I know it takes experience thats a given but I was hoping someone would point me in the right direction as far as time/process etc. Majority of what goes around in cali thats hydro is sticky, moist and burns slow but still evenly and perfectly even in a joint. As far as this spray formula that you say most dealers are spraying on their bud is that an assumption or do you know what is actually used? Thanks in advance for your input. L41178852

![]() | Im pretty sure that the stickiness is from the ammount of resin that the calix's produce which depends upon the strain, and that the density of a bud which makes it burn even depends upon the light. So it is more of what and how you grow that will make your buds sticky icky. But proper drying and curing is still essential to having good nugs.

![]() ![]() ![]() | nah i know 4 a fact that around 60% of all 'dealers' moisten their weed to get it weighing more and burn slower. Majority just use a fine mist spray of water because it doesnt change the taste of the weed and therefor not suspicious. Also i have been told by a few ppl that stems, leaves etc are boiled in water, cooled, and sprayed with a mist on bud that isnt as potent. The bud simply absorbs the THC-water .. and presto!! That way they can sell dodgy gear as really good gear and it cost them $0 to do it. Dealers are very clever when it comes to making the most amount of money per gram...

![]() ![]() ![]() | ahahaha well obviously dropping it in water wouldnt make it stickier Notice i said "mist", that is the key word here.. too much water and it will be soggy, just the right amount and the bud will b sticky Its usually done because majority of weed going around is old and very dry (well around here anyway) so they mist it with some water or a mixture they make themselves which makes the bud seem fresher and burns longer .. has more weight etc Anyone that is growing their own indoor shouldnt worry about not having sticky-icky bud.. 99% of all fresh indoor is very sticky and potent.. By growing your own you get the freshest most THC filled sticky bud because it has gone from plant to you.. not from plant to dealer.. to another dealer .. then another dealer who holds it for a few months.. and then to the dealer you score off or whatever And after 10months of changing hands and changing baggies and different temps and air and sunlight.. you finally get the dry old bud But IF you grow it, you can b smoking it within weeks of harvest. Therefor maximizing potency, taste and appearance of the YOUR bud. Not to mention you know there isnt any chemicals involved too. PEACE Last edited by Knore; 06-18-2002 at 09:57 PM..

I imagine I live here in the ol SE where commercial brick bud is common, and it is often musty due to age. It is often sticky, but the quality is very low. In the lowest of the low quality, it is not even sticky. Some people I think I know that deal a bit steam the bud: they place it above boiling water on a strainer. This makes the mj smoother to the throat and maybe a little more palatable when it comes to old stuff. But the amount of weight added (to already very dry bud) was almost negligible: not much more than 10grams on the whole quarter pound I dreamt I sat in on last time. Much more than that would have been easily detectable to the fingertips, I think, cause you could feel it a little with this stuff (but maybe thats cause I already knew). Also, even though my friend tried to break it up some, it was still real compact compared to high grade mj, so it wouldn't absorb water as easily. As far as the 'spraying a boiled down solution of stemmed water' thingy goes, thc is negligibly soluble in water. This would either take a massive amount of stems boiled for a really long time, or would not increase the quality of the pot... at least in any way my understanding of chemistry allows at least. You sure he wasn't bs'in you on that one? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ well, that's my 9,486,32 7,413 cents please play again ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() nah no bs here mate ive known these ppl for years..and they have been doing it for years too think of how much stem would be collected if someone was dealing/selling off 1/2pounds a day for say .. 2 weeks ?? Well considering theres usually atleast 1gram of loose/improper stem per ounce.. that equals to a ****load of stem!! And instead of being suspicious by throwing away or burrying bags of stems.. they do something with them.. kinda recycle Do u get what i mean now ? Also i know for a fact THC is soluble in water because i got bent from it about 4 days ago. U need to boil for a little while but it definately works !! (Boiling bud in water to make coffee) And as for the whole mist and adding water to bud .. u kinda got it all wrong here.. They dont mist or moisten or steam the bud right before it is sold to you.. this moistening etc is done way back in the track so that by the time you get it, its been done a few times and added about 15% to the overall weight. The reason they pack it so tightly is so it retains moisture and its easier to transport. Like i said .. most of these ppl are very smart when it comes to pushing weight for money Ive just been lucky enough to know alot of them around here.. I grow my own now (well when i can), i spent too much $$ back in the day on dodgy bags.. ![]() Dont get me wrong though.. there is still alotta value for money dealers out there.. the hard part is finding them But if your friends with them.. its kinda an advantage Anyways, i gotta mow the lawn.. i kinda let it get outta control PEACE ![]()
