Say you had a decent amount of bud and for legal reasons you wanted to keep it outside. Maybe you wanted to keep different strains you grew for a while to compare later. How long would it last if you burried a plastic or steal drum, put the weed in vacum sealed jars, put them in the drum, put in a no-pest-strip or two, maybe some sand, and then covered the drum with a foot of dirt? I don't think uncovering a foot of dirt every couple months will be a big deal... How long would the weed last like that? Is there a better way to store it underground? This place has links to a lot of sites that sell industrial drums. A few months ago i came across a site that was selling them for pretty cheap but i can't find it

| That should be OK, it's like a miniature root cellar. Maybe get a basket that will fit down into the drum, so you can lift the jars out and don't have to dig around with your head at the bottom of the barrel.

You would not get grass to grow well if you are digging it up every couple of months.. and I would think a big bald patch of 'freshly' dug earth would look just a 'wee bit' suspicious to Mr P.O. If ya know what I mean.

| You really should reconsider your Grand Scheme. Back off of the smokeage for a day or three and then see how this whole plan seems to you. Your energies may be better directed towards other endeavors. In the end, it is still your choice. buzzmobile | ||

| I believe I read something somewhere, I'm sorry I don't have a verifiable source in front of me, but I recall reading that a few decades ago, folks buried their weed in hope of increasing it's potency. What they were actually doing was introducing one of the many, many strains of mold into the pot, and smoking the moldy (really, really bad for your health, I wouldn't do it ever...  ) weed was giving off a slightly different effect (ugh  poisoning must feel funny...). Nasty, huh?  Anyone else familiar with this?  | ||
