For those too cheap (like me, 'sides I'de rather get something else do more than just what its supposed to be used for) to spend $10 at RS, if you have a cheap (or expensive) telescope, use the removable eyepieces. I use the 10mm for general inspection and the 4mm for really good detail. I also bought a $29.95 kids microscope from "Big Lots" to see specific detail on single trichomes. Not as good as my medical Nikon, but that "grew legs" during one of my moves.

As I am 2-3 weeks away harvest, I came upon this thread in search of the arts of harvesting. IT's the perfect guide for NOOBs like me. The illustrations/pictures are Grrrrrreat~. lol Thanks

As with the $10 RS microscope. It works great. Yeah, it's a little difficult to focus on the plant itself as buzz have said. It is possible. I just hate to cut anything off with trichomes on it.

Man, I wish there were forums like this for everything in life. Than life would be so much easier. lol

Here is the best Microscope/camera setup I've seen.
I'll probably buy the Radio Shack One for $9.99.
Others may want to look at this!

Just two more cents.

Just added to my X-mas wish-list. lol Price isn't too bad considering it includes everything oyu need to get started. Definitely something I will purchase when funds allow. For now, my $10 RS microscope will have to do.

I can't spare the $10 right now. Couldn't I just take the plant in to Radio Shack and look at it on their microscope?

Is there a rule about that or just your own form of sheriffing? A great illustrated post that answers the questions of so many is worth a look.

there is a rule about it, not sure if its written in the aup or its just an unspoken one, but its generally frowned upon.
