Lightbulb Do trichs continue maturation during curing?
permalink

Hey Guys,
Quick question. I'm just wondering if trichomes continue maturation while your curing your bud. I've read that when exposed to light and heat while curing, your bud's THC level will be effected.

Now does this mean trichs will continue changing from cloudy to amber, Thus creating lower levels of THC (but higher levels of....um....whatever that couch-lock chemical is...)?

Once you chop down the bud, does the clear->cloudy->amber process completely stop? If not what can be done to help it along or completely stop it?

Thanks in advance.

Ok, here's my best, not from book learning but rather from my own education, shot....
There may be some minor changes to the trichs or the plant's maturation process once it's hung but it's nothing I'd concern myself with. (and believe me, I concern myself with plenty of stuff to do with raising this crop.)

I think the most important thing to do after you chop, is allow a long slow drying process. None of this hurry it up stuff for me. I'm still not smoking some of last years crop because it's a bit harsh. I stop back in from time to time and check it out and then back into the closet for a longer cure time.

Chop when you like how it get's you high... Then continue to be patient while it drys and cures.
Peace-
OD
