are white strains white?
permalink

well i harvested my white widow, i just couldnt wait any longer. She has been drying for 2 days counting today and is looking good but will only last prolly a day or two. I think i made the mistake of harvesting early, only 1/3rd of the pistols are red...is that bad even though it is called the WHITE widow. The buds are small but are very crystally and i didnt flush so i hope they dont taste too bad. My main question is are the white strains soppose to be white?

Not in that sense. They got there name from the high amount of trichomes they're known to produce. A lot of white pistils is probably a sign that it wasn't ready. Didn't you check the trichs first?

I have noticed that in addition to the amount of crystals that white widow has it can also be of a very very light color...

this is a pic of some WW that i had in the stash awhile ago....certainly lives up to the name IMO

White Widow

well i smoked a sample tonight even though its not all the way dry (microwaved for 10 seconds) but i am still VERY pleased. I am quite high while writing this rite now. I have considered what the bud will be like after it has dried and cured properly and it has just made me tinkled pink.<<<very funny word indeed. But yea the sample was great, prolly equal to the bud ive been getting this last month, so yea growing is awesome! i was gunna say something else but i just cant seem to word it rite. hehehehehe

I 'm sure it will be fine.
If you were happy with the results when you microwaved it.
Wait until its cured properly.
Most people probably can't tell the difference from what is flushed or not.
It may be a bit more harsh.

Myself, knowing that those salts are in there I like to flush.
I'm sure many people don't even know about it.

As far as the White strain being white I agree with Beener although my pictures look like its White.
I think thats because of when I took the pictures.
Also the mother that my clones (and now my mother) came from
was from the late 90's (so I'm told).
Maybe that has something to do with it.

Those look sweet pearl... Getting giddy for my current grow as I'm going to be trippin' the flowering process very soon.

Hopefully they'll be just as white.

i got a question about curing? everybody says they use glass jars, but is it ok to use a plastic container. like it just needs to be air tight right? or does the glass do something for it?
