Hey GardenTHIS, what temperature water are you putting the bud in?

p.s. The biggest bud I water cured was 18.5g wet (off the plant, not out the water) and it dried itself naturally in less than 24 hours!

so here's the pic... noticed that water smelled like weed lol so good! Glug glug glug!

no not really.

But whats really cool is the bud looks great!

As you can see, it was trying to escape. But if that wire can fend chickens off... it can keep mary jane in her place

This is twisted, how exactly does age'n the bud in water help turn sugars to starch and dry the bud ?

Way to go GT

, it's about time somebody did a tutorial on this. I think you'll like the results. It will be incredibly smooth smoke. Though there won't be any flavor or smell, this comes in handy. You'll be able to step around the corner in a semi-public area and burn one, without alerting every cop and mooch in 150 yards..

I think I'll toss you a little love too....

The material is piled loosely in a glass or ceramic pot which is filled with luke-warm water. short and sweet. just how i like my women.

but some of that i don't really agree with. the dark colour, and the intimation that the method is more common with sh!tty bud. any bud will do, it won't affect the quality, and while your product may be a little darker, it'll be nowhere near black. the so-called increase in THC concentration would be due to the shrinkage of bud mass and the fact that THC doesn't dissolve. so....less weight, more THC per gram. you're not gonna make gold outta tin here.

I wouldn't stir, no reason to. I figure you'll just end up sending trichs down the drain. The water will do all the leaching. Also, the pot doesn't need to be dried, can be done straight off the plant. In fact, now that I read it again, it seems that that is a somewhat different method. It's only asking for a few hours, I think it's describing an intermediary step, rather than an entire cure.

Some of the benefits....
Smoother smoke
No Taste or Smell(for med patients and public tokers this is a plus)
7 days from plant to pipe
Higher concentration of resins per gram(reduced weight of non-resins), thus more potent

Some Drawbacks...
No Taste or Smell
Reduced weight

seems like its more of a cleansing than anything else, its not really facilitating any chlorophic activities, (ie breaking down) just using water to soak it out.

like soaking a stain over night. maybe it could be tried with some fresh harvested bud, and compared to an identical sample that hasnt been soaked.

Do to the demand for factual data, I shale report back tonight with cited evidence of how this exactly works and how it is beneficial to cannabis smoking.

Some interesting Observations: PPM water was 0 when started, now has increased to a 1-2 fluctuation.

Wow im in! That sounds good @ 7 days from harvest to pipe. Weight loss is ok since i dont plan to distribute. MINE MINE MINE :P I think this method is awsome for the people who "just cant friggin wait" Ill keep an eye out & great thread GT.
