This is my first attempt at the not-so-popular water cure. Water cure? Damn right water cure. Since I can't find the original article, I'm going to recall it as I remember it. With water curing, the ENTIRE process only takes 7-9 days and can begin immediately after cutting down your plants, there is no dry time nessessary. --------- Step 1. The first step is to get some damn fresh buds! Newly clipped and slightly trimmed. Step 2. Dump it into a bucket containing distilled water. You want AT LEAST twice the amount of water as you have bud. Step 3. Use a screen or chicken wire to keep the bud under the water as it will float. Step 4. Leave the bucket unconvered. Place the bucket in the Dark as well. Water + Light + Organic material = Alge and other nasty stuff. Step 4. In 24 hours, we will change the water. ------ A look into the future: In 7 days, the bud will be placed into a dehydrator for a few hours and then cured in a mason jar for about 2 days. Step by step pics for the next 9 days! Stay Tuned. -GT

![]() ![]() | I water cured about half an oz. picked from my plant @ 7 weeks flowering. (wanted an early taste and I was almost outta weed so...heh) Still had nutrients in it that I didn't wanna taste and I wanted to progress the drying/curing so I wasn't smoking fresh chopped quick dried weed that tasted like the smell of burnt hair... yuck! It's wonderful how this can work. Most people don't like it, but I think its an advanced way of taking care of the weed.. MANY pros, very few if any cons. Absoloutely love it. Glad to see someone else enjoying this process !!!!!!!!!!!!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've never been scared to say that I don't know about something. Well Water curing I've never heard of ! I'm always curious to see other ways of doing things for two reasons. What to do and what not to do. Since I know nothing about water curing I will watch GardenTHIS. I've always respected all her posts so until something drastically changes I will continue to do so. From the statement so far I would think its difficult and unpopular but that has nothing do with it being successful. GardenTHIS, I wish you the best and I hope to learn a new way to cure mj. Thank you...........pearl

After 24 hours, the bud still looks fresh. The water has now darkened slightly and particles can be seen floating around in the water. The water is changed, and is placed back in it's dark location for another 24 hours. At this point, I'd even go as far as to say that I bet the bud still thinks its alive as its getting the nessessary water at the moment. hmm... drowning our plants to improve quality... hope there is not an Ethical Treatment of Plants Department here at HC.com... ![]() -GT

Keep on keepin on. I thought about using this method to do maybe an ounce from my current harvest, but figured I'd wait til next time. I am interested to see how this turns out. Do you have a dehydrator? How will you dry them after day 7? | |||
