What did I do wrong? Three days of darkness then I pulled the plant and cut off all large fan leaves and trimmed buds and hung to dry. The small popcorn buds I dried in a small box. I kept the dehumidifier runningthe last 7 to 10 days off flowering and three days of darkness. Went on 7 day vacation and came back to buds dried to a crisp with lots of hairs. The buzz is great so that is good bud not much weight??

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | they dried up too quickly? kinda a confusing post ya got here....maybe i need to get high and read it again but it sounds like you harvested your plants went outta town for a week and your plants dried to a crisp. sounds about right. depending on the temps and humidity my plants will dry to a crisp in 7 days especially with no fan leaves on em. so dry em slower. as far as the wieght id read more journals and try it again. experience will get you all those yummy ounces you want!

![]() | Sorry for the confusion-- Yes I removed the fan leaves as well as the branches from the stalk. Should I just hang the whole thing-- roots to cola? When the dehumidifier was running it was at 20 to 30 percent?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | put them back in your jars and place a piece of apple, cucumber, or whatever in the jar (not touching) and close them up for a day. the dried buds will draw the moisture out of your slice. they'll be re-hydrated and smokable. if they're too moist, cure them until they are how you like them them.

I'm just smoking the last of a small Snow White batch that I grew outside here in Sunny Spain. I dried about 1.5Oz wrapped in newspaper for a week, split the amount in half, and put in air-tight glass jars for the second week, opening the jars for an hour or two every day (pinching abit for a reafer), and on the third week the bud was cured nicly with smooth taste, great smell and super high!

![]() | First of all Dreadking thanks for the advice, I may just use that technique. Now on to the original post... so you waited months for your buds and left them alone for a week?? hmm not such a good idea, but beside from stating the obvious you could save the buds next time. Check this out, when the buds get dry like that you stick them in jars. It is amazing but all of a sudden they wont be so dry anymore and their moist center will help them regain some of their juices. I usually wait for 3-4 days ,until the outside of the bud, or hairs is crispy. then you transfer them to the jars and burp the jars 3-4 times a week with decreasing frequency. The key here is to keep a CLOSE eye on the buds and dont let them dry out too fast. Good luck! ![]()
