It really depends how serious about it you wanna get. One major hurdle is the amount of good bud you'll need to begin with to make any half decent hash of a reasonable quantity.
Read the stuff smoker4life suggested, it should provide much more incite. One method which i would recommend is the water extraction method. Not sure whether the link mentions it (if not search on www.yahooka.com, that should have it as well as good all round hash making info). The water method conserves alot of the trichomes, and is best suited to smaller batches.
One thing which i would recommend against is trying to hand rub unless u have a lotta time and a small field. Its a waste of time unless u know what you are doing. I had to learn the hard way.

Hash is pretty easy to do, just takes a bit of time, but the rewards should be well worth it. makes you wonder y you buy cheapo soapbar at 25 an 1/8th here in the UK.
