Hokey dokey....trying to figure out what to do with the left overs from dry sifting, I stumbled upon QWISO. I give a very short shake (not exceeding 20 seconds) and have come up with some mind expanding stuff BUT...I can't quite figure out how to store it. Any suggestions? Even though the product seems quite pure, it still invariably ends up VERY sticky (like toffee) and VERY difficult to work with. Is it better to leave it out to dry or will that cause the THC to degrade too much? Any suggestions? Thanks!!

| I find that letting it sit overnight, after its evaporated makes it hard. Cooler temps will make it hard. I think alot of the alcohol stays in when you scrape it up too quik. 60 degrees or lower I can use my fingers on it though. If not I use a pick, and smear it on a hash smoking screen. Like so. lol  Id put it in a little vial if possible and keep it in the fridge. | ||

| depending on the amount, it prolly won't degrade much left out for about a week or so-- but it will get more tacky and solidify from exposure if left for much longer i keep a small dram vial for longer-term oil storage... tiny amber glass bottle used for more legitimate essential oils  some 'head shoppes carry them and the 1/2 dram size-- some put their oil in clean glass vials from perfume samples ~but sometimes i lazily just cover the stainless bowl i used to boil off the alcohol with saran wrap and just use it from there   Pen

| Ola Mayan After all the H20 is evaporated out and you have a messy "tar" I like to force/fold in a bit of very dry Kief. This will then be chopped into small little 2 or 3 hit "nuggets " This makes handling oil SO much EZer If I don't have enough Kief then I just sift some dry herb through a very fine tea strainer. | Thanks, all!. This is all really helpful. Stoney do you let it sit over night PRIOR to scraping it up? Yeah...I'm not sure whether it's easier to scrape shortly after it's made or whether a 24 hour sit would be helpful. Over at icmag, they talk about hitting what looks to be like a solidified consistency...almost like peanut brittle or crystal shards. Has anyone been able to bring that off? Do folks store their QWISO in the fridge?

| i like to let it sit out overnight before storing to ensure any alcohol or water is completely evaporated and it is more solid the next dayto make it easier to scrape and store, i gently reheat the bottom of the bowl by setting it briefly on some heated water in the big pot usually still on the stove from the cook-off the night before and tilting the bowl helps slide it into a thicker layer on one side Pen

| Well, I scraped up a 4 day old bowl last night of leftovers... I got this white fluffy substance. It reminded me of cotton candy.  I pressed it together and it turned into a black ball. It was sticky, but you could touch it fine. Ill post up pics if you want. I believe I took a few. | ||
