Ok, I filled a jar up with plant matter, then filled it up with everclear (a lil more than a half a 1/5th [750ml = a 1/5th]), let it sit for a week, and shaking it 3 times a day. On friday I strained and filtered the liquid out (nice and dark green color), and it's been evaporating ever since...my question is how long does it take for all the nasty alchy to evaporate off? it's only gone down a little bit since friday night, and I'm all impatient, I mean, a man can only wait so long for good smoke, and my girlies are still a lil ways aways from bein harvested and cured and all that jazz...so I'm hoping that it'll be done in a week at least..and I'm not tryin to boil that off cause I don't need my house smelling like weed and grain alchy for days.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | if its the smell you are worried about, don't. i just made hash oil using the same method of boiling it off and there was no residual odor. using a sauce pan on top of a pot of boiling water the everclear/plant juice will boil at a temperature low enough so that you can even put your finger in it without being burnt (although i wouldnt recommend keeping it in there) you must be careful not to let the alcohol touch the flame, an electric stovetop is best for this... otherwise, if you want to simply let it evaporate - give it as much surface area as possible, like a cookie sheet - maybe even put a slow fan on it as well, couldnt possibly take more than a day that way. peace -LFD
