Dear Friends,

Would you please(Pretty please ) tell me your method for making honey oil.

I smoked some many years ago that looked exactly like honey and was the absolute bomb of a high. Ive never seen any since then.

Im talking about a very thick oily substance with the consistency and color of honey. A drop was all it took to lay you back for 3-4 hours.

How can I make that kind of oil?

I have done searches and have tried the following methods.

Soak leaves in acetone for 3 days and filter and evaporate the solute.

Pack a 1 and a 1/2 inch PVC pipe full of dry material and discharge a butane cyl through it. The pipe had end caps on it with the top haveing one small hole to fit the butane cyl, and the bottom was like and oversized pepper shaker which I held over a bowl and captured the scant amount of yellow residue that ensued. mostly it seemed that the dry material just froze up.

Any help would be appreciated

I came up with this using honey oil as my search parameters. I would check out the ones from the recycleing forum first.

You want REAL honey oil...like the "good ole days"? First get yourself a kilo or so of Blonde Lebanese hash and a good, clean solvent like Everclear and extract it.

I miss those days of smoking it either in a joint or for a real "lung-buster" out of a small glass oil pipe.

Unfortunately the only color you'll get from oil made from weed is black...if you do it right that is! If not. at least a real dark green color.

Stay away from acetone (not pure enough), and a friend of mine burned half his house down using the butane in a pvc tube method! Luckily his eyebrows have almost grown back!

Well what I've been doin with butane consistantly comes out honey colour. Consistancy seems to depend on external conditions when made and time sat (gets harder the longer it sits until it almost snaps like candy but with just a little finger warmth you can get it into sticky little golden balls of putty like consistancy) Quality, well the oil made from the combined trimmings is still a more intense stone than the manicured cured bud on it's own, and that seems to be on par with amongst the best smoke around my area...

It REALLY comes out a honey color with butane? I've been wanting to try that way...but after what happened to my buddy I've been a little apprehensive.

I wonder why the color change? Does it change color over time?

I might peruse the recycle section for some info on that.

Doesn't change colour, it's just that the clorophyll is not solvated by the butane. Butane, co2 and I think a couple of other things will do a specific extraction of mainly only the cannabinoids. Or something scientific like that.

And it DOES make perfect sense!

For years I thought real "Honey Oil" only came from the lighter colored hash!

Now I've GOT to try that process! It's off to the hardware store for me! Any tips? Besides don't do it near an open flame...I got that one already! hahahahaha
