Wow! That s**t's kinda hard to find, ain't it?

I searched all over the place for some to build a tumbler and kif box and finally found a place (sign shop, I think) that had some nice new scraps! They're about a 45-50 minute drive from here. I was all set to go when the guy asked me if I wanted it delivered! I hesitated for a second...then said sure, why not! Well I'll be dipped if I didn't get it the next day in regular mail! It's a piece about 14"x14"...and the best part is he sent me a bill for 6 bucks! Just blew my mind and reinforced my faith in humanity!

I'm gonna try it out tonight...I'm so excited! I'm just gonna find me one of those embroidery hoops and stretch it in one of those and sift over a nice clean tray.

Anyone else try it that way? And with what results?

I'll update once I get it made and smoke my first bit of "glandular ambrosia"!

I'm sweeping my leaf across the screen and I'm getting green powdery dust (I do see trichomes in there though) that DOES have a kick compared to smoking just leaf...but am I spending too much time? Or is a coupla passes all you need?

Plus...how fine does the leaf need to be to do this?

this following quote is from a cannabis culture article called "pure pot powder perfection" .. cleared up any hash misconceptions i may've had .. maybe it'll help u too (the article, not the quote) ..

they're referring to the machine that spins w/ the nugs in the middle.. ferris wheel looking.. regardless, the golden rule seems to apply to all forms of hash making unless using the double screen system which they explain as well .. erm. almost sounds like im advertising, but it's just an informative article breaking down various methods of hashmaking ..

I never woulda thought that someone might remove the trichomes from quality bud to make hash...and then sell the buds! But then, It's not the kinda thing I would EVER think of doing to anyone! Almost makes me wanna bring my jewelers loupe with me the next time I have to buy it!

every time i hook a sack nowaday im constantly trying to analyze how healthy the nugs were before being plucked, and how well the grower did harvesting/drying/curing .... picky that way when you know the scoop and pay 50 bones an 8th ..

It's much better than the water hash, imo. But that's another debate. I've been collecting my own for years. That was a great article, Aeroskunk, just wanted to add that I find the 70-80u meshes are just as good as using two seperate filters. My US$.02 ... 73u is my favorite.

Anyways, I was just looking around for some more screen too. This thread hooked me with the title ... but no references to where you guys found it. So, I thought I would share the results of my search for others in the future that may reopen this thread.

This place hooked me up with COD ... I bought a few of those deckles and some spare mesh at a reasonable cost. Paper making deckles are where it's at!
