Upon closer inspection of my FLOWERING plants, I noticed one MUST be a male, LOL....but it too has hairs, but a lot of clusters started...when do I rip it out at the ideal time and dry it to process it? How do I know he is ready for recycling? He is about 4 feet, in the dark next to my girl......I am thinking of taking it out tonight and letting it just *grow with the regular day* and take it away from her...but I know there is some safe time.....they started to flower on Dec 18.... He is some 2 feet AWAY from my girl, in the dark.......he is not 4 feet tall, he is about 1 1/2 feet tall......OK, got it straight =) TheCheshireCat

GET IT AWAY from her!! Once those male pods open up and the dust starts flying....that's all she wrote. I think that the ideal time to take a male for recycling would be just before the pods open up. | ||

I have seen people say to keep an eye on him, and take him out when he is about to pop, my Q is...HOW DO I KNOW HE IS GETTING READY TO POP? I mean, he is still fairly young, and I AM gonna separate em tonight, but...how do I know he is ready to *rip out and dry for cannabuttah*? Any help is appreciated! TheCheshireCat

| Not to be flippant but I'd say the time to pull a male for canna-butter or whatever type of recycling you do is as soon as you can identify him as a male. The very instant you know it's a male, kill it. Unless you want seeds of course. Then wait until after he's blown his load, AND THEN KILL HIM. I mean, it's really simple: Man = BAD Girl = GOOD
